A resident of Chatham formerly of Clachan and Blenheim, Margaret DICKSON/DIXON passed away at the Village Retirement Residence in Ridgetown on April 12, 2008 at the age of 87. Loving wife of Dennis A. DICKSON/DIXON. Dear mother of Bob and Cheryl DICKSON/DIXON, Anne and Jim SIFTON, Paul and Karen DICKSON/DIXON, Proud grandmother to Gerod and Leslie DICKSON/DIXON, William and Elisa MacMILLAN, Rob SIFTON and Leah SCOTT, Heather and Strahn McCARTEN, Cory DICKSON/DIXON, Calie DICKSON/DIXON, Amy and Josh LARSON, Jason BEUTLER, along with 8 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brothers Dave and Dorothy SIMPSON, Jim and Lenore SIMPSON. Predeceased by her sister Grace SMITH and brother-in-law Alex SMITH. Family and Friends may call at the McKinlay Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. W. Chatham (519 351-2040) on Wednesday from 2-4: 30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service to be held on Thursday April 17, 2008 at Sprucedale United Church at 11 a.m. Family and Friends are invited to gather at the church after 10 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Riverview Gardens, Wallaceburg at a later date. Passed away on Friday, June 20, 2008 in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Sylvia THURSTON. Loving father of Karen SIFTON; Laura (Jay) BARNETT and Sean (Jessica) BOX. Stepfather of Derek (Linda FORBES) THURSTON. Loving grandfather of Charlie, Tom and Sam. son of Catharine BOX of London and the late Charlie BOX. Brother of Ellen WALL, Charles BOX and Martha HENRY. Cremation has taken place. Peacefully after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg.
Nancy is survived by her son Graeme, grandchildren Micah and Trevor of Winnipeg, and her brother Tom DAILEY of Brockville, Ontario. She was predeceased by her sister Betty Alexander.
Nancy was born and raised in Brockville, Ontario, moving to Winnipeg with her husband John in 1952.
Many thanks to the staff of the Grace for making Nancy's final days as comfortable as possible.
Special thanks must go to Nancy's caregivers for the last many years, Mila, Marie-Ann, Angela, Imedla, Solly and Lani. Their devotion 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, enabled Nancy to remain at home where she was most comfortable.
Nancy enjoyed various activities during her life and her Friends will look back with fond memories of those.
Private arrangements. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be in Brockville, Ontario at a later date.
