(George - both predeceased) of Cobourg,
Ontario; John (Jackie) of Brantford, Ontario; Gerald (Bette-predeceased)
of Scotland; Norman (Alice - both predeceased) of Ireland; Frank
(Lee) of England; and Patrick (predeceased) of Scotland. He will
be sadly missed by many other relatives, Friends and associates
in Canada, the U.S.A. and Great Britain. Bob, with his wife Kathleen,
son and daughter immigrated to Canada in 1957. He was a skilled
metallurgist and initially worked for Canada Castings in Orillia.
He went on to become the chief metallurgist of Bartaco Foundry
in Orillia and ultimately became a highly respected Chief Executive
Officer and Chairman of the Board of Haley Industries in Renfrew,
Ontario. Due to Bob's hard work and competence, Haley Industries
became a major success and internationally recognized foundry
in the aerospace industry. He served as a director of several
associations - Air Industries Assoc. of Canada, American Foundrymens
Society, International Magnesium Assoc. and has given technical
papers to audiences in Canada, the U.S.A., Germany, Norway, China
and Japan. His pastimes included golf, soccer, curling, deep
sea fishing, and sailing on his beloved 'Largo Bay' sailboat
in the British Virgin Islands. He travelled extensively with
his wife Mary to all parts of the world and was fortunate enough
to travel on the Queen Elizabeth II four times and the Concorde
on several occasions. He was a generous man who loved to work
hard, play hard and who always gave 100% to everything he tackled.
He will be truly unforgettable. Following cremation, the family
will receive Friends at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N.,
Orillia on Thursday, February 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration
of life service will be held at the Hawk Ridge Golf and Country
Club, Orillia on Friday February 15, 2008 at 2 o'clock followed
by a reception until 5 o'clock. If desired, memorial donations
may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation,

After a very brief illness, Rob passed away in Denver, Colorado
where he was vacationing with his son, Bryant. Left to mourn
with his son are his parents Lawrence and Françoise
HANNA, his
sister Stephanie and her husband Gregory
SIEMENS from La Crosse,
Wisconsin and many uncles, aunts and cousins from Montreal area
as well as many Friends and co-workers. Rob was appointed an
Officer in her Majesty's Canadian Armed Forces Navel Reserve
in 1985. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with
a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1988. While at
University he was very involved in student activities and was
President of the Engineering Student Association, 1986-87. He
also attended the Columbia University Graduate School of Business
in 1999 and 2003. Rob worked in the pulp and paper industry most
of his career. This brought him to many locations in Canada,
U.S.A. and Europe where he worked as a specialist and consultant
in papermaking and made many Friends. He was a very accomplished
young man. His residence at the time of his passing was Sartell,
Minnesota. Rob loved his son Bryant very much and spent as much
time as he could with him. He taught his son how to play chess
and coached him in hockey and they did many activities together.
Bryant was the pride and joy of his life. A Prayer Service has
been set for Thursday, April 10 at 7: 30 p.m. and the Mass of
Christian Burial for April 11, 2008 at 10: 30 a.m. with both being
held at Saint Anne's Roman Catholic Parish, 217 Lenore Drive. In
lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Rob to a
