(July 5, 1992.) John was a "Bell
Canada" employee for 30 years. He retired April 1, 1994. He was
a Shedden Minor Ball Coach for 25 years, he enjoyed every minute
with the kids. He was the first manager of the new Keystone Complex
and served in the capacity for 9 years. He enjoyed meeting and
greeting the many people who held weddings, stag and does, anniversaries
and other events. He was a member of Shedden Lodge #310 for over
46 years. He worked on the Bingo committee donating to many charities
and giving generously of his time when ever asked. To all that
knew him his favourite motto was "Let's get it done". "John we
will surely miss you" Live, Dream, Laugh, Believe. Resting at
Williams Funeral Home 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Thursday
morning and then to First United Church (Corner of Curtis Street,
and St. George Street, Saint Thomas) where funeral service will be
held at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in McArthur Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The Oddfellows Members will be conducting a service on Wednesday
evening at 6: 30 p.m. at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers
donations may be made to the Sunshine Dream for Kids or the Saint Thomas-Elgin
General Hospital, Tools for Treatment Program.

ALTON passed away on March 12, 2008 at the age
of 78. Visitation was held on March 14 at the May Funeral Home
in Markdale. Fred's humour and passion for life were celebrated
on Saturday, March 15 at Annesley United Church in Markdale.

of Fred and enjoyed refreshments served by the Annesley Women's
Ministry Network in the Annesley Fellowship Hall. Fred was the
longest-serving member of the Markdale Rotary Club (49 years)
and owned and operated Alton Pontiac Buick for 36 years before
retiring in 1998. Fred acted as volunteer firefighter and fire
chief for the Markdale Fire Department and attended every Markdale
Street Frolic since 1938. Fred was married to his beloved wife
Glenora McGEE for 55 years. He was the loving father of Mary

YATES (1996.) Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill
was born on November 26, 1946 and grew up in Point Edward, Ontario
where he attended Bridgeview Public School. Following Bridgeview
he attended Northern Collegiate in Sarnia where he graduated
with an honors certificate in 1965. He then moved to London and
completed his teacher's training in 1966. He went on to complete
a B.A. at the University of Western Ontario in 1980 as a part
time student. Bill was an excellent elementary school teacher
and taught in London at Woodland Heights, Wilton Grove, Aberdeen
and Tweedsmuir Public Schools from 1966 to 1996, when he retired.
Bill had many other interests but his passion was dogs and obedience
training. He had a number of dogs over the years (Kelly, Pal,
Guynan, Thorn) and most recently Scout who were as devoted to
him as he was to them. Bill became interested in dogs and training
soon after he arrived in London. He and Pal competed in Obedience
trials beginning in the 1970's. Bill went on to become a member
of the Canadian Kennel Club and became an obedience trial judge
in 1986. The family would like to thank the many Friends, neighbours
and former colleagues who have offered their prayers and concern
during Bill's disappearance. The volunteers who searched for
him, the police search as well as the fire and rescue, was much
appreciated. Friends may call at the McFarlane and Roberts Funeral
