Entered into the presence of his Lord, whom he faithfully served,
on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the Liverpool Hospital, Liverpool,
Nova Scotia. Born on January 12, 1928, in Windsor, Ontario, he
was the only
son of the late Stanley and Mabel
(WILSON)
HORNER.
Richard grew up in London, Ontario and graduated from Beck Collegiate.
He was married to the former Marjorie
COLP in 1953. After college
and seminary training, he served almost 50 years as a pastor
and teacher. During his ministry he served as a pastor of Baptist
Churches in New Brunswick, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Michigan,
Ontario and Nova Scotia. In addition, he served on the faculty
of Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, Bob Jones
University, Greenville, South Carolina, Detroit Baptist Theological
Seminary, Allen Park, Michigan, and London Baptist Bible College,
London, Ontario. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie in Port
Mouton, Nova Scotia, sons, David, Bangor, Maine and Philip (Eileen),
Windsor,
Vermont; daughters Deborah (Kevin)
