Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on her mother's birthday Friday February 22, 2008. In her 92nd year, Jean Marjorie BYE (née GRUNSELL,) beloved wife of the late Lester J. BYE. Loving mother of John BYE and his late wife Barbara, Mary and her husband John COLLIER and Kathryn and her husband Martin ROACH. Loving grandmother of Melissa BYE, Amy and her husband Lenny FONTE, Sarah COLLIER and James WOOD, and Martha COLLIER. Loved great-grandmother of Anthony and Haly. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three sisters Alma (Mrs. John BUIE,) Dorothy and Irene GRUNSELL. Of Cape Croker suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Thursday, March 13th, 2008. Kenneth Hugh JONES at the age of 77 years. Cherished father of Shannon (Scott FILLO,) of Cape Croker; Shawn JONES (Ashley YOUNG,) of Coquitland, British Columbia Linda-Ann LANCASTER; Jonathan JONES, of Cape Croker; and Samantha JONES, of London. Beloved grandfather of Tianna, Taylor, Isiah, Matthew, Cassandra, Keith, Summer, Kadin, Corbin and Breanne. Devoted brother of Richard JONES (Verlyn AKIWENZIE,) and Ed JONES (late Audrey JOHNSTON,) both of Cape Croker; Gina (Danny ROACH,) of Buffalo, New York; and Trudy (Bill SYRETTE,) of Toronto. Predeceased by a wife, the former Anita DROUILLARD; his parents Alfred and Rena JONES; and brothers Freddie JONES and Wayne JONES. Sadly missed by previous partner Nelda, and wife Suzelle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends. Born in Helden, Holland in 1915, daughter of the late Regina TRIENEKENS and Gerardus VANLIER. Loving mother of Nellie VAN DER VENNE (Adrian) of Leamington, Gerda BUZAN (Karlo) of Melbourne, Agnes LAMERS (Willie) Blenheim, Martin STEEGHS (Regina) Whitby, Mia SADDINGTON (Hal) of Chatham, John STEEGHS (Colette,) Anita STEEGHS of Port Bruce and Jeannette ROACH (Ron) of Ottawa. Sadly missed by 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Also sadly missed by a son-in-law Louis VAN DEN BOGAART, by 4 sisters and one brother and by many relatives in Holland. She is predeceased by a daughter Gina VAN DEN BOGAART (2006,) 2 grandchildren; Kelley ROACH (1990) and Shawna ROACH (1986) and one brother in 1988. WESTMAN, Kenneth Crawford
Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital - London Health Sciences Centre, with his much loved wife by his side, Mr. Kenneth Crawford WESTMAN was ushered into the presence of his Lord on April 25, 2008 in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his faithful, devoted wife of 44 years Audrey Jean (née HARLTON) in 1998. Dear husband of Helen (nee EAGLESON) since October 2004. Loving father of Barry and Jamie (née FISCHER) WESTMAN, Cheryl and Allan ROACH, and Colleen and Dale DAWSON. Precious grandfather to Barry Robert, Daniel and Blake WESTMAN, Elizabeth, Natalie and Meghan ROACH, and Sawyer DAWSON. Fondly remembered by step-daughter Angela BISCHOFF. Predeceased by older brother Ronald (2005); survived by younger brother Ross and wife Cathie. Also survived by sister-in-law Mabel GUENTHER- FRASER and several nieces and nephews. Ken was well known in London as a businessman/ entrepreneur and owner-operator for 41 years of Ken Westman Automotive Ltd. at three different locations on Oxford Street East. In recent years, he would be recognized by many in north London as the white-haired gentleman who played the harmonica at Loblaws when providing entertainment for the mezzanine or when collecting for the Salvation Army kettle campaign in the store's foyer. Ken took pleasure in writing frequent letters to the London Free Press Editor and was an enthusiastic member of the Northpark Senior Men's Breakfast Club. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan. Also an avid car race enthusiast, Ken attended the Indianapolis 500 thirty-seven times. Ken was often seen driving about town in his treasured 1977 yellow Cadillac. Friends and family will be received at Memorial Funeral Home 1559 Fanshawe Park Rd. E. for extended visitation on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Reverend Allan Roach of The Gathering Place and Revival Centre officiating. Interment to follow at Birr United Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Friday, July 25th, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 76th year. Husband of Shirley (CLARKE) ROACH and father of Earl ROACH and fiancee Marsha of Strathroy, Janet Elizabeth and her husband Ron SMELTZ of Trout Creek and Shirley Mae ROACH of Alberta. Brother of Barbara COLTSON, Velda CAMPBELL, Helen TAPP, Allison ROACH and Minnie STEVES. Predeceased by 2 sisters Stacey ROACH and Ruth McDONALD and by 4 brothers William, Earl, Morton and Paul ROACH. Grandfather of Michael, Steven and Pamela ROACH, Robert and Angela JENSEN and great-grandfather of Lillian JENSEN and Tamara SCHMERBAUCH. Cutler was born in Darnley, Prince Edward Island on September 1, 1932, the son of the late Fred and Elizabeth (INMAN) ROACH. He worked on the nursing staff at the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital and also drove truck. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Passed away peacefully at her home in Fergus (formerly of Oakville), with her family at her side, on January 20th, 2008 in her 83rd year. Adored wife of the late Jack DROVER (1990) of New Toronto. Beloved mother of Delsie and her husband Norman COATES of Belwood, John and his wife Theresa of Oakville, Jeffrey and his wife Tara of Oakville and her late son Robert (1961). Much loved grandmother to Spencer, Bryce, Daniel, Thomas, Kieran, Conner and Ava Grace. Also survived by her brother and sister-in-laws. Great thanks to Doctor ROACH and his palliative care team Shelley, Marilyn, Sam and Nadia at Groves Hospital. Peacefully at the Brampton Civic Hospital, Saturday March, 15th at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Sheila, much loved father of Susan (Louis ROACH,) and Kimberly (Gord PURDY,) Tara, Brian (Sabine,) Liza (Levi FOLK) and his wonderful grandchildren Emily and Eric, Dylan, Riva and Shane, Holden and Somerset, Leonardo and Saphira. Al graduated from University of Toronto dental school in 1953, specialized in Endodontics in 1963, was a Clinical Associate and lecturer in the University of Toronto department of operative dentistry from 1956-76. President of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics 1968. Royal College of Dentists of Canada examiner 1976-82 and Endodontic consultant to the editorial board of Oral Health 1966-96. In additional, Al volunteered his time and expertise to Sick Children's Hospital and fundraising for the Heart and Stroke foundation of Ontario. A family memorial was held Sunday. A memorial Service will be held at Saint_James Anglican Church, 6029 Old Church Rd. (at Airport Rd), Caledon East, Saturday May 10th at 11 a.m. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Peel, Brampton Day Centre at 150 East Drive, Brampton, Ontario L6T 1C1, in Al's memory.

RICHARDSON, Joyce Marie
It is with a sadness tempered by Hope that we announce the passing of Joyce on Tuesday July 8, 2008. Joyce will be eternally loved by her late husband Lloyd. She was a loving mother to Dwight and Jeffrey, a caring mother-in-law to Renata and an inspirational Grandy to Morgan Lee, Matthew and Thomas. We are certain that Joyce's memory will always be in the heart of her sister Helen and brother-in-law Ed ROACH, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Eric and Marg RUSSELL, and her many nieces, nephews and their families in both Ontario and California, most particularly her beloved Marilyn. Joyce's devotion to her family and Friends, her strength of character and commitment to God provide comfort now that she has become a part of that good night. John went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the age of 92. Survived by his loving wife Edna of 67 years, daughters: Janice SCHESKE (Don) Springfield, Missouri, Jillian LYNN- LAWSON (John) Porcupine Hills, Alberta, daughter-in-law Virginia LYNN (Ken) Sylvan Lake, Alberta; six grandchildren: Regan LYNN (Tracy,) Rael LYNN (Leanne,) Renard LYNN (Mary Jo,) Darryn SCHESKE (Loree), Kimberley ROANE (Greg) and Erika CAWSTON (Jonathan;) 14 great-grandchildren; his sister: Dorothy HILSDEN (Al) Peterborough, Ontario. Sadly predeceased by son, Rev. Jesse LYNN in 1987. John and Edna invested their lives in ministry including over 40 years as missionaries to Africa.
