COLLINS, Norma Pearl (née KINSMAN)
Peacefully at home on Thursday, March 6th, 2008. Norma Pearl COLLINS of London in her 69th year. Beloved friend of Ted COLLINS and dear mother of Deb and Pork CLARK and Lorie COLLINS (Randy WARD) of London. Grandmother of Greg CLARK, Michelle REX, Steven and Melanie MERO of Winthrop, and Samantha WARD. Great-grandmother of Hailey and Caitlin. Also survived by her sisters Muriel HUMPHREY and Myrna and her husband Evan MORGAN of Strathroy. Norma is also survived by sisters-in-law Connie KINSMAN of North Ekfrid, Diane KINSMAN of Forest, Lynda KINSMAN and brother-in-law Bill McMURPHY of Komoka. Also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Neil (1979) and Eva (KELLESTINE) KINSMAN (2000) and brothers Orley (1977), Ralph (2007), Robert (1989), Gary (2007,) John (2007,) sisters Velma WELLS (2006,) Evelyn McMURPHY (2006,) Helen RIDDLE (1987.) Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Earl HUMPHREYS (1989,) Frank WELLS (2000) and sisters-in-law Lyma (McNeill) KINSMAN (1997.) Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Sunday, March 9th from 2: 00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from the funeral home on Monday, March 10th at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Charles SEED officiating. Interment Longwood Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Norma.

MAIER, C. Edwin " Ted"
It is with sadness the family of Ted MAIER announces his peaceful passing at the Kirkland and District Hospital on March 13, 2008. Ted was born in Delaware, Ontario. on May 20, 1920. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Mabel MAIER of Delaware, Ontario. and by his sister and brother-in-law Permelia and Jack WIGHTMAN of Mount Brydges, Ontario. He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie Ethel (née TAILOR/TAYLOR) of 65 years. He leaves his son James (Gail) of Duncan, British Columbia; daughter Jane (David) PETRIE of Burlington, Ontario; grand_son James (Beth) of Northville, Michigan; granddaughter Kelly (Scott) REX of Orlando, Florida and two great-grandchildren Nathan MAIER and Jude REX. He is also survived by his brother Gerry (Mary) of Waterloo, Ontario. sister Shirley (Gordon) JAMES of London, Ontario. and sister-in-law Vera (Don) MONTGOMERY of Burnaby, British Columbia. Ted came to Kirkland Lake in 1973, after moving to Matheson from Ottawa. He was the Area Manager of Ontario Hydro from 1973-1978, when he retired. Ted loved sports and enjoyed many years of golfing, curling and fishing. He belonged to the Lambeth Hunt Club, Saint Paul's Masonic Lodge (Lambeth), the Scottish Rite, Trinity United Church and was Past Chairman of Kirkland and District Hospital. The family will honour Ted's long standing request that he be cremated and there be no service or visitation. A family memorial will be held at his interment in Delaware, Ontario. later this year. Donations in Ted's memory may be made to the Kirkland and District Hospital Foundation (P.O. Box 3000 Kirkland Lake, Ontario. P2N 3P4). Arrangements entrusted to Monette French Funeral Home.
