CRAMPTON, Stephanie Joyce (née STARKEY)
Passed peacefully away at Saint Marys Memorial Hospital on the 25th day of May, 2008 in her 80th year, as a result of a massive stroke. Loving wife of Ivan CRAMPTON. Loving mother of Jondre BECKETT and husband Hugh of Owen Sound, Gilbert CRAMPTON and wife Anne of Parry Sound, Amy JUTRAS and husband Jerry of Etobicoke, Sharene YOUNG and husband Denis of Wasaga Beach, Olwynne CRAMPTON and husband Barry POCHRON of Marietta, Georgia, Owen CRAMPTON of Legal, Alberta, Siobhan MEYER and husband Werner of Gunzwil, Switzerland and Rachel MEYER- FISHER and husband Erwin MEYER of Saint Marys. Beloved Gran to 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Loving sister and sister-in-law to Alethe and Bob DELYEA of Etobicoke, David and Margaret STARKEY of Etobicoke, Charles STARKEY of Toronto, John and Donna STARKEY of Oakville and Peter and Pauline CRAMPTON of Halifax, England. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Healdon R. STARKEY in 1992 and Gladys A. STARKEY (née BROWN) in 1956. Stephanie helped many, many young people in her lifetime who fondly called her "Mrs. C." She lived by her grandmother's motto "warm what is cold, guide what goes off the road and love those that are least lovable, because they are the one's that need it most." She was an amazingly strong lady who touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all. At her request, there will be no visitation. She will be cremated and her remains interred in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. A service to celebrate her life will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Olivet Church, 279 Burnamthorpe Road, Etobicoke. Peacefully, at the Dearness Home, London on Saturday, April 12, 2008 Jessie Margaret (SIMPSON) MUNRO of London in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) MUNRO (1984.) Dear mother of Eleanor FORBES of London. Dear grandmother of Kathryn and Peter KALINGER of Orleans, Jennifer SIMPSON and her friend Udo KONZOK of Germany and great-grandmother of Rebecca. Dear sister-in-law of Margaret McINTYRE of Innerkip. Predeceased by her sisters Lois BRINTNELL and Grace LEGER, her brother Stewart SIMPSON and her son-in-law Ken FORBES. Cremation has taken place. Interment and a graveside service will be held at Victoria Memorial Gardens, 1185 Highway 3, Windsor (Oldcastle) on Thursday, April 17th at 11: 30 a.m. with the Rev. Bruce POCOCK officiating. Beloved wife of Leonard BAUMAN/BOWMAN. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Brian and Bonnie BAUMAN/BOWMAN of Goderich, Bruce and Brenda BAUMAN/BOWMAN of Holmesville, June and John DEROCHES of Crystal Falls and Byron and Joy BAUMAN/BOWMAN of Goderich. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Barry and Tarrin, Brian Jr. and Carrie, Richard and Ian BAUMAN/BOWMAN, Tarah and Brianne DOUGHTY and Brady and Haley BAUMAN/BOWMAN and by five great-grandchildren Emily, Aaron, Lincoln, Beth and Branden. Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre - University Hospital Betty Ann (JONES) FOLEY on Monday May 26th, 2008 in her 79th year. Predeceased by her sisters Mrs. Margaret RUSSELL, Mrs. Helen POCOCK and her brother Mr. Casey JONES. Also loved by her niece Mrs. Margie CURTS and her husband Lloyd of Arkona and her great-nieces and nephews. Special thank you to her companions Truus and Wendy for their unconditional care and support. Also thanks to the nurses and doctors of the 4th floor University Hospital and the 3rd floor nurses at Mount Hope. Betty will be fondly remembered by her Friends at the Ealing Pharmacy, London. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday May 28th, 2008 at the A. HOWELL, Garth Tyson
At Victoria Hospital, on Sunday, July 6th 2008, Garth Tyson HOWELL of Saint Thomas at the age of 30. Beloved partner of Eunseon "Sunny" Park. Cherished son of Bob and Linda HOWELL. Much loved brother of Erin Howell VAN DAM and Bart HOWELL. Loving uncle to Jake VAN DAM. Also survived by 2 great aunts, Mary and Margaret. Predeceased by grandparents Ron and Ann POCOCK and Bill and Jean HOWELL. Garth will be missed by many close Friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2: 00-5:00 and 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where a Celebration of Garth's Life will be held on Friday, July 11th, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. There will be a motorcycle procession to Garth and Sunny's residence for a reception following the service. Peacefully, as the sun rose in Brantford, Ontario, on June 20, 2008, Phyllis RAYNER, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and proud nurse, died in her 86th year. Predeceased six months ago by her beloved soulmate and husband of 56 years, George. Wonderful and fun-loving mother of Shelagh (Bruce PETERSON,) Mississauga; Moira (Les WHITE/WHYTE), Ottawa; Barbara (friend of Paul FLANAGAN), Strathroy; and George (Lori LUFF), Mississauga. Adored Grandma of Susan, Kathryn (fiancée of David LUND,) and Brian PETERSON; Emily (fiancée of Stefan GINGRAS,) Elizabeth (Alex SARABURA,) Fraser, Anna, and Mary WHITE/WHYTE; and Abigail, Joshua, Zachary, and Jessica RAYNER. Honorary mother of June (Ray) LOW/LOWE/LOUGH. Dear sister of Richard (Mary) GALLAGHER, Regina; and Louis (Vivian) GALLAGHER, Thunder Bay. Predeceased by sister Patricia (late Gerald) McKAY, brother George Patrick GALLAGHER, and George's family Rev. Father Frank RAYNER, OMI, Patricia POCOCK, and Angus RAYNER. Survived by Michael and Mary (RAYNER) HADDON, Joseph POCOCK, beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Born October 3, 1922, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Doctor Patrick J. GALLAGHER and Marie Cecilia DRISCOLL, Phyllis graduated from Saint Mary's Academy, St. Boniface Hospital (R.N., 1944) and the University of Toronto (PhN, 1950). For many years she was a Public Health Nurse in Brantford, retiring in 1988 as Acting Director. A tireless volunteer, organizer, and crusader for social justice, Phyllis was the first female chair of the Saint_Joseph's Hospital board, a past chair of the Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital Community Advisory Board, a past chair of the Canadian Mental Health Association Task Force on Housing for the Psychiatrically Disabled, a past chair of the Mohawk College Studies in Aging Advisory Committee, a founding member of the Nova Vita women's shelter, and a past board member of the Brant County Children's Aid Society, the Brant District Health Council, the Children and Youth Services Council, and the Brant and Branford Housing Authority. She also worked on the Ontario Provincial Psychiatric Hospitals Strategic Planning Committee and at the Ontario Board of Parole. A lifelong Liberal, Phyllis served as president of the Brantford Liberal Party. She was also a Companion of the Sisters of Saint_Joseph. She was awarded the Canada 125 medal in 1992, the J.A.D. Marquis Award for her contribution to health care in Brant in 1995, and last month she was delighted to be presented with the Mission Legacy Award by the Saint_Joseph's Healthcare System. Phyllis will long be remembered for her incredible joie de vivre, wicked sense of humour, common sense, and quest for adventure. She loved her family fiercely, cultivated life-long Friendships, and together with George, welcomed all to their home with open arms. She will be greatly missed. Visitation at McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford, Monday, June 23, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga, Ontario, on Tuesday, June 24 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
