PIRAK, Everett Leo " Joe"
Passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the age of 92. True and devoted husband of Lucille for 61 years. Treasured and beloved father of Warner, Paul and Kristine. Dear father-in-law of Carolyn TIFFIN (deceased,) Maria Teresa DI PAOLA, and Rick CARTER. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Pierangelo, Gaia, Stephen and Kevin and by his sister Lyla PIRAK. Everett (Joe) was one of London's most highly respected secondary school teachers for over 25 years. He was also a former Navigating Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War when he met his lifelong companion Lucille. The family will receive Friends at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North on Thursday from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. where a memorial service will be conducted on Friday, April 11th, 2008 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Everett to the Memorial Boys and Girls Club or the charity of your choice. PIRIE, Mary Gibson (1947-2008)
At her residence on March 1, 2008. Mary, mother of Sophie, sister of Mag (LUXTON.) Daughter of Molly and Gib, dear friend of Betty AIKENHEAD. Aunt of Pirie, Sean and Mark. Mary was an accomplished actor and a formidable character. The world will be a less joyful place without her. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at The Church of the Transfiguration, 111 Manor Road East at 12 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations to the World Wildlife Fund would be appreciated.

REID, Alison Elizabeth
Wife of Richard Delbert WHELAN, mother of Avery Constance Qui ye WHELAN, died tragically at the age of 42 on Thursday, July 10, 2008. She is also survived by her parents, James and Perdita (Pert) REID and by her sister Catherine TURNBULL and her brother Jeffrey REID. Also by her brother-in-law David TURNBULL, niece Caitlin and her nephews Thomas and Reid. In addition she will be greatly missed by her father-in-law Chris WHELAN. Loved by her sister-in-law Kim WHELAN, Courtney and Ryan PIRIE; her brother-in-law Michael WHELAN, Mary Anne, Sean and Elizabeth; her sister-in-law Trish DALLIMORE, Martyn and Ashley; and her brother-in-law Gerry WHELAN, Linda, Christopher, Richard and Lauren. Alison was a beautiful spirit who lit up every room she entered. She was cherished and loved by her family, siblings, in-laws and nieces and nephews. She was a gift to all of the lives she touched and will be forever remembered in our hearts. She will be dearly missed by her many Friends from the Clarkson-Lorne Park area, Lorne Park Secondary School, The University of Western Ontario and the Kingsway area. She had a successful marketing career in the fashion industry and was an active volunteer with several charitable organizations. Heartfelt thanks to her relatives and Friends who provided comfort and support and to her professional advisors. The family will receive Friends at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, at Windemere Avenue, east of Jane subway (416-767-3153), from 2-4 and 6: 30-9 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2008. A Celebration of Alison's life will be held at Kingsway Lambton United Church, 85 The Kingsway (at Prince Edward Drive, 416-234-8224), at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 followed by a reception at St. George's Golf and Country Club, 1668 Islington Avenue, Toronto. MILNE, Peter Ignatius
The family of the late Peter Ignatius MILNE would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to our family, Friends, neighbours and work associates for their support, kind thoughts, cards, flowers, food, calls, masses, and memorial donations. A heartfelt thank you to the University Hospital staff on the 7th floor, and 6th floor. family medicine, as well as Doctor MEREDITH, for their kind care and compassion. To Fr. Clare COLEMAN, Fr. Paul MILNE, and Fr. John PIRT for conducting a beautiful memorial mass. The Holy Family Parish Catholic Women's League for the lovely luncheon. and the choir for singing so beautifully. An expression of gratitude and appreciation for the compassion and empathy extended to the MILNE family from all the staff at Donohue Funeral Home. BRACCI, Naldo
Peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Parkwood Hospital, Palliative Care, surrounded by the love and devotion of his daughters, Naldo BRACCI of London in his 87th year now reunited with his beloved wife Sylvia (2006.) Dedicated and loving father of Cheryl KANE (late Drew) of London, Paula LAMOTHE (Ronald) of Ottawa and Patti LIVINGSTONE of London. Cherished grandfather of Karla, Kyle, Renee, Robert, Paul, Kelly and Curtis (Kristin). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A pioneer born and raised in White River, Ontario, a proud man who never forgot his roots. A true gentleman with a genuine love for his family, Friends, faith and Northern Ontario. An incredible hardworking and shrewd businessman who served his community well as Reeve, Chairman of the Improvement District and Justice of the Peace. Truly a personable man who touched the lives of many in his own special way. He will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity. His legacy will live on forever. The family will receive Friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Prayers will be held at 3: 30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11: 30 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, with Reverend John PIRT, Celebrant. Interment at St. Basil's Cemetery, White River, Ontario at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. BRACCI, Naldo
The family of the late Naldo BRACCI wish to express their sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all relatives, many Friends and caring neighbours who offered their support, prayers and condolences during the recent passing of a dear father and grandfather. Words cannot express our gratitude for the many acts of kindness, sympathy cards, phone calls, food, Mass cards, funeral home visits, beautiful floral tributes and memorial donations in Naldo's memory. To each and every one of you, your kindness and caring will always be remembered with deep appreciation. You have given us strength to cope with our great loss. There are so many people we would like to acknowledge and thank for all their acts of love and kindness. First and foremost, a special thank you to Doctor Ingrid HARLE and the wonderful Parkwood Hospital Palliative Care Nursing Staff. Your exceptional care, compassion and overwhelming support was very much appreciated during this difficult time. To Father John PIRT and Mary Catherine BISHOP for their comforting prayers, support and compassion. To the ladies of the C.W.L. at St. George's Parish for the lovely luncheon they prepared for the reception.
