At Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2008 Russell (Rusty) PIPER, of R.R.#1, Otterville, in his 78th year. son of the late William and Frances PIPER. Beloved husband of Edith PIPER. Dear father of Clifford and friend Nancy of Otterville. Dear grandfather of Andrew, Matthew, Martin, Ashlea and Brandon. Dear brother of Frances and her husband Lewis PETERSON of Drumbo. Father-in-law of Cathy PIPER and Stephanie PIPER. Predeceased by his son Richard (2003). Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 1: 30 p.m. Rev. Fred CARSON officiating. Cremation to follow. At London Health Sciences Centre, University on Saturday April 26, 2008. Dennis Cartwright SMALDON of London in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Ivy SMALDON. Dear father of Geoff SMALDON (Ann,) Dawn PIPER (Larry), Diane MORAN (Paul), Andrew SMALDON (Helen BROWN) all of London. Loving grandfather of Neil, Karen, Sarah, Michael, Michelle, Lynnette, David, Steven, Samantha and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary TICKNER (Keith) and Phyllis SOPER (Norman) both of England. Cremation has taken place. McDONALD, Norma (formerly KENNEDY, née MORRISH)
Passed away at her late residence, the Valleyview Home, Saint Thomas on Saturday, May 31, 2008, in her 86th year. Wife of the late Jack KENNEDY (1971) and the late Frank McDONALD (1989.) She is survived by her son, Scott KENNEDY of Saint Thomas, her granddog, Buddy, sisters-in-law, Betty MORRISH of Smithville, and Annie MORRISH of Blenheim, as well as several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Jack MORRISH and the late Bert MORRISH. Born in Tyrconnell, Ontario, February 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Ethel (PIPER) MORRISH. Norma attended primary and secondary school in Dutton and was a graduate of Alma College, Saint Thomas. She was a retired employee of the Bank of Montreal, having worked at the Talbot and Hincks and First and Elm branches in Saint Thomas. Norma also formerly worked as an Avon sales representative. She enjoyed playing bridge, dancing, gardening, designing and making clothes, day trips and traveling. Relatives and Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Valleyview Home Memorial Foundation gratefully acknowledged.

ELLIS, Cecil Robert " Bob"
Formerly of Plattsville. Passed away suddenly at his residence in Bayfield on Sunday July 13, 2008. Husband of the late Anne (née PIPER) who predeceased him January 24, 1993. Father of Cheryl and husband Gary RAYCRAFT of Mississauga, Brenda McCUTCHEN of Stratford, Donna and husband Kevin HART of Seaforth, Tom and wife Julie of Niagara Falls, Larry and wife Carole of Kitchener, Doug and wife Sarah of Ayr, Ellie and husband Rob SCHMITT of Plattsville. Bob will be missed by his 19 grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers Ross, Bill and wife Ruth all of Woodstock and by brother-in-law Jack KNIGHTS of Woodstock. Predeceased by his son Robbie on March 23, 1988, and his sister Joan. Bob operated Ellis Motors in Plattsville for many years and had been on the Plattsville Fire Department and was an avid baseball player over the years. Relatives and Friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday July 17, 2008 in the funeral home chapel at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.

YOTEFF, Louis (1930-2008)
Peacefully at Richmond Hill Leisureworld on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Dearly loved husband to Margaret (née PIPER) for 56 years. Loved father of Robert (Rob) (Marilyn) and Sheila. Proud Grandpa 'D' to Christie, Shannon, Sarah and Rebekah (Beki). Lou is survived by his brother Peter, predeceased by his brother Tom and sister Mary, and Parents Vasil and Sveta. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Brothers Tom, Pete and Lou built and operated Surf Marine, at 9002 Yonge St. in 1957. They later manufactured Surf Master Boats as well. Both of his brothers retired from the business in the mid 1970's and Lou in 1981. Surf Marine remained in business for several years under different proprietorships. Lou continued in the marine business as a manufacturers rep until he retired in 1997 and moved to Sutton. Lou was a patient at Leisureworld for over three years. The family would like to thank the staff for their kind care and attention to Lou during his stay. Friends may call at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill (4th traffic light north of Major Mackenzie) on Monday, April 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Tuesday, April 15, at 1: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate remembrances sent to York Central Hospital or the Parkinson's Foundation.

KEFFER, Iva (DOWNEY)
Iva went to her reward in heaven March 3, 2008 in her 104th year. Predeceased by her caring husband Ellsworth in 1977. Devoted mother to her children Isobel PIPHER (Murray,) Betty-Lu McMULLEN (Bill,) Carl KEFFER (Judy) and Beverley BRILL (Peter.) Lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Verna KEFFER and Nellie FOLLIOTT and brothers Erwood, Orland and Murray DOWNEY. A private family service was held on March 10, 2008, with burial at Zion Lutheran Church at Maple, Ontario. Sincere appreciation to the caring staff at Parkview Nursing Home.
