At Victoria Hospital, London, on Wednesday June 25th, 2008, Jean THOMAS (ne WILKINSON) of London passed away in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Bill THOMAS (2003.) Predeceased by her parents David and Margaret WILKINSON. Dear mother of Bill THOMAS, Ed THOMAS and Susan PADDICK. Also loved by her 9 grandchildren Brandon, Carly, Justin, Crystal, Josh, Lindsay, Cody, Kaela and Keshia; and by her 3 great-grandchildren Cole, Chase and Cameron. Cremation has taken place, and a service to celebrate her life will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street (at Wavell), London, on Wednesday July 2nd at 3 p.m. Visitation 1 hour before the service. Memorial donations appreciated to the Palliative Care Unit at London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Hospital.

Passed away peacefully on June 25, 2008 at the General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood in his 92nd year. Joe of Stayner, beloved husband of the late Edna (1992). Loving father of Robert (Donna) and Eleanor HEWITT. Grandfather of Ted (Cindy,) Chris (Katrina,) Robbie and Jacqlyn. Great-grandfather of Jordon. Dear friend of Elsie FAWCETT. Also survived by his sister June FOUNTAIN, sisters-in-law Mildred PADDISON, Whelda JENKINS, Jessie MORE, Elsa MORE and brother-in-law Rudy RAWN. Predeceased by his siblings Robert, Verna, Bernice, Eileen, Beulah and Keith, sister-in-law Norma and brothers-in-law Allan and Melville. Joe will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and Friends. Friends were received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26 (Main St.), Stayner (705 428-2637) on Saturday June 28, 2008 from 11 a.m. until the time of Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m.. SHARPE, Ronald " Lee"
Of Bobcaygeon and formerly of Saint Thomas, passed away unexpectedly at his daughter's home in Saint Thomas, on Thursday, May 29th, 2008, in his 61st year. Dearly loved husband of Sandra (HERCHMER) SHARPE and dearly loved father of Michelle and Spencer SHARPE both of Saint Thomas. Dear son-in-law of Marion HERCHMER and brother-in-law of Janice HERCHMER, both of Buffalo. Lee was born in Saint Thomas on April 24th, 1948, the son of the late George and Jean PADDON) SHARPE. He was retired from the Saint Thomas Ford Plant. He was a long time member of the Saint Thomas Optimist Club, Past President and Lieutenant Governor of Optimist and was a Past Chairman of the Special Olympics. He was also a member of the C.A.W. A Public Memorial service to celebrate Lee's life will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Tuesday, June 3rd at 1: 00 p.m. Visitation from 12-1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

STREET, William " Bill" Edmund
In his 74th year, William (Bill) STREET died at home on Monday, January 28, 2008 after a brief illness. A loving and supportive husband of 48 years to Anne, they built a happy partnership that included raising two sons, Jeffrey and Paul in Islington. Bill was a welcoming father-in-law to Gillian and Rita and an intensely interested and involved grandparent in the lives of Nathan, Emma, Zo, Maggie, Kameron, Emma Grace and Rebecca. son of the late Ernest STREET and Jennie PADDON, he was predeceased by his siblings Jim and Kathleen. Bill grew up in the Bloor and Dovercourt neighbourhood of Toronto where he began a 58-year membership in the Beaver Bible Class of Westmoreland United Church and followed their activities to their new home at Westway United in Etobicoke. A gentle and modest man, Bill STREET shared more than 40 years of laughter with audiences as an "end man" in the Beavers' annual music and sketch review. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke, (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday, February 1st 2008 at 10: 00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Covenant House are welcomed.

Peacefully at her daughter's residence, surrounded by her family Barbara Augusta INNES, on Thursday June 5th, 2008, in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late Karl Silver INNES and also loving partner of the late Lloyd WHALEY. Cherished mother of Christine Karla WATSON and her husband Paul of London and Linda Lou INNES of Toronto. She will be missed by her grandchildren Patrick WATSON and girlfriend Emily PADMORE and Jennifer WATSON and fiance Eric BILL. Also missed by her siblings Shiela, Debbie, Doug, Ken and David and their families and by her many wonderful Friends. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8th at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Frank VAN VEEN of Calvary United Church officiating. Suddenly on Friday July 18th, 2008, Doug CLIPPERTON of Strathroy and formerly of London, passed away in his 66th year. Beloved friend, companion and husband of Corrine CLIPPERTON. Survived by and greatest father and friend to daughter Michelle DUGAS and son Rick DUGAS. Forever loved Poppy to Sarah, Jesse, Kimberly, Caitlin and Christopher (lil bear), and cherished great-grandpa to Dontae. Survived by his sisters Fran HASSEL and husband Fred and Mary MORGAN, sisters-in-law Kathleen PADVAISKAS and husband John, Barbara McNICHOL and husband John. Also survived by sons Jerry and Terry CLIPPERTON. son of the late Joseph and Edith CLIPPERTON, and brother of the late Wayne CLIPPERTON. Survived by his mother-in-law Vera DUGAS. Uncle and great-uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Doug was the crossing guard for 9 years at North Meadows Public School in Strathroy. Life long friend to Ron and Penny McGREGOR and many others. Visitation on Tuesday July 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street (at Wavell), London. Service in the chapel on Wednesday July 23rd at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. Please dress casual (no ties) as this is what Doug would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Children's Special Olympics or the Children's Lupus Society, as Doug loved to see children aspire to have fun and do their best. In Doug's memory, please collect pop can tabs for local charity. All are welcome to come to the visitation and service.
