In loving memory of Nelda Oakes, March 23, 1922 - March 18, 2008, a
resident of the Centennial Manor and formerly of Providence Bay, died at
the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Tuesday, March 18, 2008
at the age of 85 years. She was born at Coburn Island, daughter of the
late Norman and Rubina (Luther) McKay. Nelda had worked for many years
with Grant at Oakes Cottages. She loved to travel, having been to Europe
several times, but her greatest love was to be with family. She was also
very active in her church at Providence Bay. Nelda is survived by her
husband Grant of Spring Bay. Loved mother of Laura Kernohan of Toronto,
Dorothy (Brian) Hay of Tottenham and Mike Oakes of North Bay. Proud
grandmother of Daniel, Stephanie, Becky, Ben and Megan. Predeceased by
daughter Diana and son Chuck. Dear sister of June Strassburger and Ray
McKay, both of Kitchener and Doug McKay of Sault Sainte Marie. Friends
called at the Providence Bay United Church on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12
noon. The funeral service was conducted at 12 noon with Reverend Mary Jo
Eckert Tracy officiating. Cremation. In remembrance, donations to the

General Hospital on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, in her 67th year.
Beloved wife for almost 40 years to Robert T. "Bob" Reid. Dearly

On Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Wyndham Manor in Oakville, our
dear Mother passed away peacefully in her 92nd year. Daisy was
born in Little Current, Manitoulin Island on May 29, 1916. Pre-deceased
by her dear late husband Frank

McDOUGALL.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Pat and
son-in-law Ken

With deep sadness, Friends of Wayne announce his passing, as
well as the loss of his father Paul, a few days earlier. Predeceased
by his mother, Beatrice. Our dear friend Wayne, the fisherman,
the Trivial Pursuit champion, the opera aficionado, the very
well-read gentleman, the stats king (boxing, baseball, hockey)
as well as a long career in graphic arts. He is sadly missed
and will be fondly remembered. Father and son will be remembered
