At her home in Agnone, Italy, Lucia Catolino (née DI
NIRO,) in
her 97th year, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her sons,
on Sunday, June, 22, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband,
Rocco, and son, Antonio, (Immaculata) of France. She is survived
by Giuseppe (Teresa) of London, Angelo (Jeanette) of France,
and Renato (Gabriella) of London. With open arms, "Nonna Lucia"
always welcomed relatives and visitors to her home from around
the world, including Canada, France, Argentina and Italy. She
will be remembered fondly by her grandchildren: Rocco and Noel,
Thierry, François, Laurent, Fredric, and Lucie (France), Rocco
and Lucy (London), Carla (Italy) and Rita (London), as well as
her 16 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated in Italy on Monday, June 23, followed by interment
beside her late husband in Agnone. A memorial Mass will be held
in London, Ontario at Saint Mary's Parish on Wednesday, June 25,
2008 at 7: 30 p.m. A woman of faith, with a feisty soul and brave
spirit, Lucia lived a long, happy, and healthy life. We trust
she is now by her husband's side, basking in the light of Christ,
for which she always prayed. Those wishing to make a donation
