of birds and nature, and enjoyed his time spent with Friends

Junior NEEDLES, a resident of Kagawong, died at the Manitoulin Health
Centre, Mindemoya on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the age of 76 years.
He was born at Nevada, Ohio,
son of the late Elza Paul and Mary Elizabeth
(Yentzer) Needles. Junior had worked as a contractor in the construction
business for over 20 years in North Carolina, then in 1983 opened Needles
Stonehouse Restaurant in Kagawong. He and Marcie ran it until 2004. In
his early years, Junior was involved in the Boy Scouts in Ohio. He loved
living on Manitoulin, where he thoroughly enjoyed boating and fishing and
enjoyed tinkering and fixing things. He was a great "people person", and
loved to visit and talk with people and truly loved a good joke. He will
be sadly missed by his family and his community. Dearly loved and loving
husband of Marcie Needles of Kagawong. Loving father of Robin Golden of
Tampa, Florida, Rhonda Miller of Wasson, Ohio, Rachell Needles and Risa
Needles both of Tiffin, Ohio, Elza Paul Needles 111 of Sycamore, Ohio and
step children Denise Batson of Havelock, North Carolina and William J.
Elliott 111 of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina and grandfather of 4
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister Marcia
Moore of Defuniak Springs, Florida. Predeceased by brother Gene Needles
of Alaska. Junior was a positive father figure to Brenda Brandow, who will
also miss him dearly. A memorial service to take place at the Culgin
Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10.00 a.m. with Reverend Canon

years. He never let a day go by without singing, humming or playing a tune.

words "As you were...". Rested at Saint Ignatius Church, Buzwah. Funeral

Heathcote CALDBICK in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Nora

CALDBICK for almost 55 years and loving father and
grandfather to David, Nora (Chris), Peter, Mary and his grandchildren
Charles (Hayley), Peter, Samuel and Catherine. Predeceased by
his son Alexander last year. A graduate of Queen's University
and Osgoode Hall, John was called to the bar in 1955. He then
practiced law in Timmins, Ontario with his father, Samuel A.

John was appointed to the bench of the Provincial Court of Ontario
(Criminal and Family divisions) where he served with distinction
for many years. John was a true gentleman and a man of honour
and integrity. He treated people with fairness and respect and
he was well regarded by those in his profession. He will be sorely

Rose Croix Chatham Valley of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
He was also a member of Moore Consistory Hamilton, Achom Shrine
Club Chatham, Blenheim Shrine Club, and Mocha Temple in London.
David was a Veteran of the Korean war and became a member of
the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #28, and the Korean Veterans
Association Unit 4 in London He was the past President of Blenheim
Minor Hockey, past President of the Blenheim Baseball Association,
and was a Former Cub Master and Scout Leader. David retired from
Canada Post - Blenheim Office and served for 25 years as School
Trustee. He was the past Chairman of the Blenheim School Board
as well as past Chairman of the Kent County Board of Education.
Family will receive Friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair
Street, Chatham on Wednesday June 25, 2008 from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and
on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 2: 00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
A Masonic Lodge Service will be held on Thursday at 7: 00 p.m.
