GORE, Bonita Lynne (née ROI)
Of Saint Thomas and formerly of Port Stanley, on Saturday, February 16th, 2008, at her late residence, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in her 67th year. Soulmate, best friend and wife of the late Gordon GORE (2003) and loved mother of Jamie CHAMBERS and companion Martha FLEURY, Darrell and his wife Shirley CHAMBERS, Shawn CHAMBERS and companion Sue PAY, David CHAMBERS and companion Anna GRUBER, Pam and her husband Paul MUMA, Cheryl and husband Terry WEBER, Lori and her husband Jim MOLOUGHNEY, Carol and her husband Jim BILLINGSLEY, Christi STROH, Mike GORE and the late Leslie BUTLER. Dear sister of Rick and his wife Pat ROI, Cindy and her husband Gord MARATTO, Ginny and her husband Chuck MITCHELL, Greg and his wife Shelley ROI. Predeceased by 2 brothers Dan and Tim ROI. Dear sister-in-law of Shirley GORE and Kay ROI. Sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Missed by her companion of the past 4 years "Baby". Bonnie was born in Woodstock on March 9th, 1941, the daughter of the late Oliver and Mildred ROI. Bonnie worked in food services to become Food Supervisor at Extendicare and later in life started Panther Construction Company as "El Presidente." She was an associate member of Branch 410 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Stanley. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation Monday from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the M.S. Society.

Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Parkwood Hospital, Katherine MURCH passed away in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Pete for 44 years. Loving mother of Peter and his wife Evelyn. Dear grandmother of Stephen and David. Survived by siblings Marilyn GRAHAM (Paul), Joanne MUMA (Roger), Joe MICKALSKI and predeceased by Dorothy and Bob. Katherine will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. (with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 pm). Inurnment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Peacefully with her family at her side at Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig, on Sunday, May 4, 2008, Jean Doris McKICHAN, R.N. (McNAUGHTON) passed, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Elliott McKICHAN. Loving mother of John MacKICHAN and his wife Shirley, and Bruce MacKICHAN and his wife Marg. Cherished grandma of Debbie and Kevin FUTCHER, Jim and Heather MacKICHAN, Carrie MUMA and Scott BROPHEY, Christine and Darren McCARTER, and Scott and Jennifer MacKICHAN. Great-grandma of Andrew, Amanda, Kyle, Mikayla, Cadence, Katie and Ty. Dear sister of Grace CURRIE and sister-in-law of Eveyln McNAUGHTON. Predeceased by her brothers Duncan and Gordon McNAUGHTON, brothers-in-law Llewellyn "Boots" CURRIE and Manley ROBINSON and sisters-in-law Thelma McNAUGHTON and Iola ROBINSON. Jean is survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was a dedicated nurse for many years. She will be missed by many Friends who knew her through the years. Visitation will be held at T. Stephenson and son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig, on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David MITCHELL officiating. Interment to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. MUMA, Kenneth Everett
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Sunday, May 25, 2008, Kenneth Everett MUMA passed away in his 99th year, beloved husband of his 1st wife, the late Mary (née HENRY) and his 2nd wife the late Doree (née FOSTER.) He will be deeply missed by his sons and their wives Roger MUMA (Joanna,) Alfred MUMA (Jennifer,) his grandchildren: Kevin (Danielle), Damon (Val), Joya and Galen. Also surviving is his sister-in-law Dorothy MUMA, brother-in-law Wilbur HENRY (Myrna,) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brothers Robert, Louis (Marge), Earl (Elizabeth) and sister Nellie BROWN (Ray.) Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Coldstream Friends Meeting House, 359 Quaker Lane, Coldstream, on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the David Suzuki Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the London Waldorf School. MUMMERY, Edita (née TRAMER)
(June 5, 1921-April 6, 2008)
Edita MUMMERY, passed away early Sunday morning on April 6, 2008 at the Beverly Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Edita MUMMERY was born in Lipnik, Czechoslovakia, and travelled to England after Hitler's invasion of her homeland. She also served in the Royal Air Force during World War 2, and immigrated to Canada (Toronto) in November 1956. Edita was a very special individual and many will experience her loss. As a social worker for the Catholic Children's Aid Society in the North York Branch, Toronto, she was a pioneer in community-based services for the Lawrence Heights Community. She dedicated over thirty-five years of service to the Foster Care Department and helped develop and institute programs for the screening and training of foster parents. Edita fought and helped to change the condominium taxation law from her Elgin Street condo in Thornhill Ontario. She touched many lives and left big footprints for all of us to follow in. Edita is survived by her son Shane (Sandra) of Maryland, U.S.A.; daughter, Susanna (Donald) DUGGAN of Parksville, British Columbia; grandchildren, James (Janice) PARKER of Calgary, Andrew (Connie) PARKER of Edmonton, Alberta and Nicole (Shawn) SMITH of Vancouver, British Columbia step-grandchildren, Lorraine (Ken) WARNER of Hinton, Alberta, Michael (Marilyn) NELSON of Chestermere, Alberta, and Dallas NELSON of Calgary; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Eric, Ashley, Jerrod, Lucas, Taylor, Cody, Courtney, Morgan and PARKER. She was predeceased by her parents, Ludwig TRAMER and Gisela TRAMER née SCHIEBER. A memorial service will be held at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Alsbrook Road, Parksville, British Columbia on Saturday, July 5th, 2008.
