MOGAN, Maureen
Peacefully at Trilogy Long Term Care on April, 25, 2008 in her 71st year. Maureen, beloved daughter of the late Norah (COX) and Louis MOGAN. Survived by John Paul MOGAN (Anne) and his family in Ottawa. Maureen was a former English teacher at Malvern Collegiate Institute in Toronto. Friends may visit at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street (south of Wellesley), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral mass celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint_John's Catholic Church, 794 Kingston Road. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.

WILSON, Mary Alice (née MOGAN)
Peacefully in her 87th year on Saturday, June 7, 2008, surrounded by loved ones. Beloved wife of Jack (1919-2002). Lovingly remembered by her cherished companion, John JAKOB, and her children Paul, Catherine COSTELLO, Teresa GEMMILL, Elizabeth RAFFEL (Burton,) Joan DACOSTA, Frank, and Martha, as well as 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A very special thanks to Giosi BERNABEI for her loving care through Mary's recent difficult years. Mary was a respected teacher for 25 years at Bayview Secondary School. She contributed her time and talents to church choir and seniors' group. She received a special award for her work as a community volunteer with numerous organizations including the Library Board and the Richmond Hill Arts Council. She lived a long and full life and will be missed greatly. Visitation at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill (4th traffic light North of Major Mackenzie Drive), on Tuesday, June 10 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary Immaculate Church, 10295 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, at 10: 30 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008, her 87th birthday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The David Suzuki Foundation. "And her night shall be filled with music."

NORMAN, Frank Willard
It is with profound sadness that his family announces that Frank passed away peacefully on July 16, 2008 at the age of 92. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen and his 6 children, Frances HALLIDAY (Bob), Patricia (Bob MUSTARD), Barbara, Cathy BRAINE (Bruce), Robert (Kristie) and Mary LOHMUS (John). He is survived by his remaining sister, Marion NORMAN, IBVM. Predeceased by his sisters Eleanor MOSS and Dorothy MATTHEWS. Proud Grandpa of 12 grandchildren; Wendy "Rebecca" RITSON (Tim) of France, Jim HALLIDAY (Amanda), Rob BRAINE, Janet HALLIDAY (Andy Hughes), Elizabeth BRAINE of United Kingdom, Pieter TRIP, Gavin MOGAN and Gaelen NORMAN of British Columbia, Trisha and Jennifer LOHMUS, Tyler and Shawn NORMAN of California and 6 great-grandchildren Holly, Maddie, Sophia, Stephen, Ashlyn, and Callum. Frank was founding partner and retired president of Hanford Lumber, twice President of the Toronto Camera Club and an Royal Canadian Air Force World War 2 Veteran. He was an avid photographer, world traveler, wine connoisseur and life-long fan of the Argos and Leafs. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) on Sunday, July 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 10: 30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor St. W., Toronto. MARKLE, R. Douglas " Doug"
Peacefully at his home in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. Doug Markle in his 74th year. Loving husband of Joan MARKLE (née WARK,) beloved father of Jane (Rick WEBER,) Gary and Paula. Cherished grandfather of Keelan WEBER. Dear brother of Wendy MARKLE and Sue MOGELIN. Doug was always ready to hike, bike, canoe, sail, wind surf, ski, photograph, paint or otherwise engage in the natural world. He experienced profound joy by recreating in it, encouraging others to share with him in the experience. Among his fondest memories were the summers he spent at Young Men's Christian Association Camp Pine Crest, in Muskoka, Ontario. The experience instilled in him a lifelong passion for the environment, and constant desire to join with others to speak as one voice in support of it. He will be greatly missed by his many Friends and fellow naturalists. If desired, donations may be made to the Ecology Action Centre, 1568 Argyle Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3J 2B3. According to Doug's wishes a memorial service will be held this summer in Ontario.

In loving memory of Donald James Hembruff, September 2, 1928 - June 27, 2008.
Peacefully and suddenly at his home early on Friday morning at the
age of 79. Beloved husband of Norma (née MOGGY.) Cherished father of
Brenda (husband Doug MAGUIRE) of Toronto and Karla (husband Gerald
Lovelace) of Little Current. Devoted grandfather of Geoffrey and Joel.
Will be greatly missed by brother William Hembruff (friend Mary Lences)
of Hamilton and sister Marilyn (husband Morris Harasym predeceased) of
Manitowaning. Brother-in-law to Hugh and wife Marilyn Moggy of
Manitowaning, Rae and husband John Skippen of Green Bay, Glenn and wife
Marilyn Moggy of Bidwell, William Moggy and friend Jill Carr of
Manitowaning. Don was an uncle and great uncle of many. The funeral
service was held at 11 am Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Knox United Church
in Manitowaning, with burial at the Hilly Grove Cemetery.

MOGK, Frieda Christina (née BRODHAGEN)
Gracefully entered the Lord's Kingdom on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Mitchell Nursing Home, Mitchell, in her 92nd year. Born at the family farm at Brodhagen on February 3rd, 1917 with Doctor A.V.H. MICHELL in attendance, she was the daughter of the late John W. BRODHAGEN and the former Carrie C. MEYER. On October 23, 1937, Frieda married Harold MOGK who predeceased her on July 19, 1978. Beloved mother of Nancy Elizabeth WEITZEL who predeceased her on May 3rd, 2006. Dear mother-in-law of Robert Jacob WEITZEL who predeceased her on September 14, 2007. She showered her grandchildren Jason Robert WEITZEL and wife Bonnie and Rebecca Elizabeth WEITZEL and great-grandchildren Brandon, Kesha and Darian with love and support. Dear sister of Milton BRODHAGEN (Joan) of R.R.#1 Brunner. Dear sister-in-law of Aletha MOGK of Saint Thomas and Gertrude LAWSON of Woodstock. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Reuben (Mabel) BRODHAGEN, Martha (Roy) DAER, Edward (Mary) BRODHAGEN, Georgina (Elmer) FORD, Wilfrid BRODHAGEN and Elsie (Melvin) Voll, sister-in-law Helen BRODHAGEN and brother-in-law Carman MOGK. Frieda was a devoted parishioner at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Brodhagen where she was proud to be an honorary member of the E.L.W. Family and Friends are welcomed to join her family in the celebration of her life at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal Street, Mitchell on Sunday 2-4 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Brodhagen on Monday at 11: 00 a.m. with Pastor Steve JOHNSTON officiating. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. Memorial donations to Saint Peter's Lutheran Church or Mitchell Nursing Home Enrichment Fund would be appreciated.
