SMITH, Richard E. " Rick"
Passed suddenly Friday, January 25th at the age of 56 sitting on his brand new snow machine in the bush in northern Ontario. This was a fitting end for a man who was dedicated to his family, Friends, the outdoors and his love of life. Never one to sit still, other hobbies included skiing, hockey and canoeing. Whether Rick was travelling in the elite world of showjumping or out in the back 40, he was renowned for his quick wit and sense of timing. IVITS, Mary Jane (METHERAL)
Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift upliffing rush
Of quiet birds in circles flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
