CLEAVE, Marian Frances (née HUNTER)
We are sad to announce that Mom passed away on Monday, March 3rd, 2008 at Strathroy Middlesex Hospital at the age of 88. She resided most recently at the Country Manor in Thedford. Previously she and the family lived in Port Lambton and Sarnia. Mom was predeceased by her husband, William Thomas (Bill) CLEAVE. She will be missed by her five children; Carole CLEAVE of Lake Valley Grove, Babs and Brian COLLIER of Errol Village, Marnie and Nick MECHALKO of Lazy Acres, Tom CLEAVE of Georgetown and Martin CLEAVE of London, formerly Sarnia. Marian adored her grandchildren - Kacy and Rob WEEKE, David and Brooke COLLIER, Mark and Dawn FAIRBAIRN, Jay and Julie SHEPPARD, Nathaniel SHEPPARD, Jenna and Mandy SHEPPARD, Andrew and Di MECHALKO, Mary and Derrik MECHALKO, Tyson CLEAVE and Carrie LANE and Mindy CLEAVE. Her special joys were her thirteen great-grandchildren. Marian leaves behind her older sister Babs LEROY and three nieces and their families in California. She is also survived by Jack and Fran CLEAVE and many nieces and nephews in Canada. She was predeceased by Harry and Verna HUNTER Frank and Jean CLEAVE. In honour of Mom's wishes, there will be no funeral. We invite family and Friends to join us at a party to celebrate Mom's life on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2: 00 p.m. at the Sarnia Yacht Club, 1220 Fort Street, Point Edward. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Inn of the Good Shepherd or your local food bank would be appreciated (cheques only please). Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. Robb Funeral Home, Sarnia. At Kelso Villa Retirement Home in Owen Sound Thursday evening June 19, 2008. The former Audrey DEWAR of Owen Sound in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) RUSK. Loving mother of Richard and his wife Annette of Montreal, Mary-Lee RUSK of Owen Sound, Edward (Ted) of Toronto and William (Bill) and his wife Lynne of Wiarton. Lovingly remembered by her ten grandchildren Katie, Zac, Jed, Victor, Alex, Bridget, Beau, Max, Hunter and Jenna. Dear sister of Donna and her husband Elmer MECHAN of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Dear sister-in-law of Audrey HANBIDGE of Owen Sound, Glenn NILES of Manchester, New Hampshire and Gladys and her husband Bob WENGER of Listowel. Predeceased by her brother Jim DEWAR, sister Elaine NILES, two brothers-in-law Hank HANBIDGE and Harold GARDHOUSE, and a sister-in-law Emily GARDHOUSE. Friends may call at the Shallow Lake United Church, Tuesday June 24th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted from Shallow Lake United Church Wednesday morning at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Ed LAKSMANIS officiating. Interment Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Cancer Society would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. Peacefully, at Parkwood Hospital, London on Thursday, May 8th, 2008. Carl Daniel STADDON of Eagle in his 71st year. Loving husband of 50 years to Georgina (LIPAN) STADDON. Dedicated and devoted father of Annette ANDERSON and her husband John of Guelph, Daniel and his wife Lynn of Port Elgin and Shelly VERGEER and her husband Albert of West Lorne. Proud grandpa of Drew, Nicole and David. Dear brother of Rose WARKENTIN (late husband George) of Kingsville, Doug and Dorothy of Eagle, Norm and Pam of Saint Thomas and Richard and Carol of Rodney. Survived by sisters-in-law Helen OKOLISAN (late husband Ken) and Laura MECKEVECH (late husband Ed) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Hazel STALKER and her husband Bruce and Viola GILBERT (survived by her husband Ray.) Carl made a lifelong commitment to his church and community and will be sadly missed by his many Friends.
