McCULLOCH, Doctor Michael Alexander
(November 18, 1932-May 4, 2008)
After a long brave battle with leukemia, Michael left this world to sing, ski, play tennis and golf in the next. He died peacefully at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital where he had been a staff member for 45 years. Lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Ann (Rainnie) and children Gillian (Gord BOGDEN,) Pam (Jon TYNER,) Gavin (Carolyn MEACHER,) Maggie (Jeff AYOUB) and Matthew (Danah DUKE.) Also missed by his grandchildren Scott, Blake, Jamie, Nicholas, Luke, Heather, Clare, Logan and Tala. Survived by his brothers Bob (Virginia) and Ian (Maria) and many nieces and nephews. Michael was born in Montreal. He attended Bishops College School where he was head Prefect. He graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1959 and went on to be a family doctor (Dr. Mike) in Oakville. He also cherished his years as the school doctor at Appleby College and camp doctor at Kilcoo. His passion was for his family, his patients, teaching about diabetes to whomever would listen, and lately singing with the Oakville Entertainers. A fine athlete, he will be missed on the hills of Holimont and on the course of the Toronto Golf Club. A special thank-you to Doctor ROUSE and all the staff on 2E, especially Bev and Joanne and his fans at the Halton Diabetes Program. A Funeral Service will be held at Saint_Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville on Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at 2: 00 p.m. Reception to follow. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, please give the gift of blood. Donations can be made to the Oakville Hospital Foundation or the OHF Halton Diabetes Program. Passed away suddenly on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Markham Stouffville Hospital in his 61st year. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Tammy, children Michael and Suzanne, Vanessa and Barry, Andrew, Emily and grandchildren Robert, Justin, Genevieve, Mikey, Kyla, and Maddi. He will also be missed by his many Friends and colleagues. Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N., (Markham Rd.) Markham, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Toronto East Rotary Club would be appreciated.

BEWS, Doctor Donald Cameron (1911-2008)
In Victoria on July 17th. Predeceased by his beloved Mary (WOODSWORTH.) Survived by his children Sylvia (Art WRIGHT,) Alison (Paul HUGHES) and Donald (Gail GODWIN,) his grandchildren David SMITHERS (MaryLee,) Antonia MEADE (Ronnie), Robyn (Richard BUTLAND), Andrew BEWS and four great-grandchildren, Keaton and Makaela SMITHERS, Lucas and Felix BUTLAND.
Dr. BEWS was born in Kingston and obtained his medical degree from Queen's University, later acquiring his D.P.H. from the University of Toronto and his D.T.M. from McGill University. He was medical supervisor of the McKay Memorial Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan (then Formosa) and after enlisting with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps was seconded to the American army to serve in the South Pacific during World War 2. He was Medical Director of Bell Canada in Montreal from 1950-1974. Doctor BEWS was secretary, then president of the Industrial medical Association of Quebec and was president of the American Occupational Society. He was an emeritus member of the Ramazzini Society - an honour association of occupational physicians. He was a member of the Permanent Commission on Occupational Health for many years as well as associate professor in the Department of Health and Social Medicine of McGill University. He was active in the Saint_John's Ambulance work and was made Commander and Knight of Grace.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of We Care, especially Judy and Marilyn, for their long and loving devotion to both Don and Mary, to the staff of The Kensington for making it "home" for ten years, to the medical team at Victoria's Royal Jubilee Hospital for their gentle and patient help in his final days.

Passed away at Guelph general Hospital on Friday, May 9, 2008 at the age of 59, due to a massive stroke. A wonderful man, who endured many medical problems with perseverance while maintaining a positive attitude. Beloved husband of Judy KOVACH. Dear brother of Cathie MEADEN (John KEEP (deceased) and Laurie MEADEN (Michael CHAPUT.) Sadly missed by his in-laws Ron and Margo KOVACH, Paul and Linda SHERVILL and Julie KOVACH. He is survived by Brother-in-law Owen McALLISTER of St. Catharines, Brother-in-law Clinton SEELEY of Kingston and Sister-in-law Ethel SEELEY of Kingston as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
