LOVE--In loving memory of our beloved daughter Kathy
LOVE and our dear
grand_son Brody
LOVE who were taken from us so tragically on January 7, 2006.
We little knew that morning
That God was going to call your names,
In life we loved you dearly
In Death we do the same,
It broke our hearts to lose you two
You did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Tonight the stars are gleaming
On two lonely, silent graves
Where sleeps in dreamless slumber
Two we loved but could not save.
No one knows the silent heartaches
Only those who have lost can tell
Of the grief that we bear in silence
For the two we loved so well.
May the winds of love blow softly
And whisper so you can hear
We will always miss you and love you
And wish that you were here.
Forever in our hearts, sadly missed by Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma

He fought so hard to stay with us
He knew we'd miss him so
But God knew he was hurting
And said, "It's time to go."
He suffered long without complaint
Oh yes, he paid his dues
He never once said "pity me"
Just smiled and saw it through.
His pain has stopped, the hurting done,
How we miss his dear sweet face.
God took his hand and led him home
He's in a better place.
One year ago he left us
With fond memories ever more
We all know he will be waiting
On the other shore.

missed by his daughter Pat and her husband Wayne; son Peter and

Navy during World War 2. Following the War, he and his beautiful
bride, Ruth, moved to Toronto where he accepted a position as
Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Toronto.
In the early days, he found that many of his students, veterans
like himself, were older than he was. Apart from two memorable
sabbaticals in Venezuela and Malaysia, he spent his entire career
at U. of T., retiring in 1985, and throughout that time was active
in national and provincial organizations promoting forestry as
a profession and as a major policy concern for all Canadians.
He was a dedicated educator, and worked diligently for the causes
in which he believed. His greatest pleasures came from spending
time with his family at their cottage in Haliburton, and from
trips to his home town on the Bay of Fundy, Saint Martin's, fond
memories of which remained with him to the end. A memorial service
will be held on Monday, July 7 at 11: 00 a.m. at Fairlawn Avenue
