Loving grandfather of Sarah and Jenna MASON both of R.R.#1 Dundalk. Survived by brothers-in-law Elmer HENRY of Snelgrove and Jim CRAWFORD of Dundalk. Predeceased by his parents Luther and Annie LOVE, sisters Jean (BATCHELOR) CRAWFORD and Gladys HENRY and brother-in-law Les BATCHELOR. Resting at the McMillan and Jack Funeral Home, Dundalk. Complete service was held in the chapel on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Donations to Centre Grey Hospital Equipment Fund or Dundalk Fire Department would be appreciated. Visitation took place on Friday 3: 30 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

The family of the late William Thomas Patrick Donovan born July 26, 1910 in Cork, County Cork. Ireland, died May 28, 2008. Immigrated to Canada at the age of 15 to work on a farm in Montreal. Settled in Saint Mary's where he met his bride Cecilia LOVE (deceased.) Had two daughters, Irene Cecilia and Marilyn Margaret. Saw infantry duty in Germany during World War 2 with the H.L.I., served as a Merchant Seaman in the years after the war visiting ports all over the world. Longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion and worked at Westminster Hospital in London for 16 years. Survived by daughters Irene GILCHRIST (Max, deceased) and Marilyn PHILLIPS (Bruce), grandchildren Linda BOYLAN (Bob), Jim GILCHRIST (Marie). Rick GILCHRIST (Debbie), Shawn GILCHRIST, Cherie HERMAN (David), great-grandchildren Nicole (deceased), Caroline, Paula, Dorothy-Anne, Jamie, Garrick, and Craig. It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother, Joy, on Sunday, May 18, 2008 in her 85th year following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer and, more recently, Alzheimer's disease. Joy was predeceased in 1992 by her loving husband of fifty years, Bob. Devoted mother to Judy (Dave) LOVE, Donna (Gary▲) HAUGHTON and Sharon (Chris) ANDREW. She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren James, Kimberly, Robert (Jen), Leah (Wade), Jeffrey and Jennifer, as well as great-grandchildren Hunter and Pyper. During her life, Joy kept busy raising her family, curling at Avonlea, lunching with Friends and vacationing with Bob in Myrtle Beach. However, her greatest enjoyment came from spending every summer since 1954 with her family at the cottage on Haliburton Lake. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of West Oak Village for the care they gave to Mom these last few years. Cremation and private family burial will take place. Born August 25, 1919 in Saint Martin's, New Brunswick; passed away on July 2, 2008 in Toronto. Predeceased by his wife, Ruth, his parents, Allan and Elizabeth LOVE, and his brothers and sisters: Muriel GILCHRIST ('Gunkle',) Randolph, Bernice PEPIN ('Bub',) Janet DUBOYCE ('Bab',) Robert and Eugene. Dave will be sadly missed by his daughter Pat and her husband Wayne; son Peter and his wife, Brigid; and daughter Nan and her husband Luigi; and by his grandchildren David and Greg; Patrick and Rebecca; and Vibika and Lillemor. Dave served as an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War 2. Following the War, he and his beautiful bride, Ruth, moved to Toronto where he accepted a position as Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Toronto. In the early days, he found that many of his students, veterans like himself, were older than he was. Apart from two memorable sabbaticals in Venezuela and Malaysia, he spent his entire career at U. of T., retiring in 1985, and throughout that time was active in national and provincial organizations promoting forestry as a profession and as a major policy concern for all Canadians. He was a dedicated educator, and worked diligently for the causes in which he believed. His greatest pleasures came from spending time with his family at their cottage in Haliburton, and from trips to his home town on the Bay of Fundy, Saint Martin's, fond memories of which remained with him to the end. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7 at 11: 00 a.m. at Fairlawn Avenue United Church, 28 Fairlawn Avenue (5 Blocks north of Lawrence off Yonge St.), Toronto. Service to be followed by a reception in the church. In Victoria on July 10, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Vye PARMINTER, father of Martha (Paul HUTNER) and Elizabeth (Stephen CLARKE,) brother of Frances (Birdie) LOVE, Norman FERGUSON, and the late Jack FERGUSON.
Born at Castlefinn, County Donegal, Ireland on November 4, 1910. Emigrated as a child with his parents to New Westminster, British Columbia. Formerly with the Bank of Nova Scotia in New Westminster, Vancouver, Toronto, Stratford and Guelph. Captain in the Pay Corps at Camp Borden during World War 2.
Member of the Victoria Golf Club and a lifelong golfer who had his last hole-in-one at the age of ninety-three.
The family thanks the staff at Somerset House in Victoria, where James leaves many Friends, and the caring staff of the Orthopaedic Floor at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. At his request, there will be no memorial service.
He kept his head down and followed through.

Peacefully, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, July 18th, 2008, aged 93 years, at the Elgin Lodge Retirement Home, Port Elgin. She was predeceased by her husband Clarke, her sons, Rev. Douglas and Larry and by her parents, J. Wesley and Ethel REINHART. Miriam is survived by her beloved sister Joyce STOW of Southampton and her grandchildren Margo BROWN, Jennifer NORDEEN, Monique MARTIN and Annelise LOVELL. She will be fondly remembered by her four great-grandchildren, step-son Bryan JONES, nephew Rick STOW, niece Nancy STOW, great-nephew Stefan POHL, two great-nieces, the staff and residents at Elgin Lodge and by many cousins, neighbours, Friends, as well as her special friend and caregiver, Valerie FULHAM. creating beautiful leatherwork. She also enjoyed beadwork, gardening and

She is survived by her parents Jack and Frances VITALI and her siblings Robert (Wilma), Sharon (George), Gregory (Heather), Mary, Philip (Cathy). A dear sister-in-law to Madeline (Doug), Edwin (Linda), Trinela (Jim), Howard (Brenda), Fred (Cathy), and Victoria (Michael). Loved and appreciated by many nieces and nephews. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 1978 with a degree in Pharmacy. Sue worked for Victoria Hospital and London Health Sciences Centre. She started as a Paediatric Clinical Pharmacist and then worked for many years as a Drug Information Pharmacist. After 30 years of service Sue retired as a Member Emeritus of the Ontario College of Pharmacists. She was known for her great love for family and Friends. Many Friends, fellow quilters, members of the Oxford Quilters Guild, and skiers/snowboarders at Devil's Glen Ski Club, will miss Sue. Many thanks to all of Sue's medical caregivers at Victoria Hospital and the London Regional Cancer Centre. Special thanks to Doctor Richard INCULET, Doctor Diane LOGAN, Doctor Hugh ALLEN, Dr. Ingrid HARLE and the palliative care team. HEANS, Kenneth Walter
Suddenly on Monday, May 5, 2008 in his 91st year. Born in New Brunswick on June 26, 1917, Ken led an active life of military service, work in the volunteer and public sectors as well as hours of volunteerism. Ken enlisted with the Corps of Military Staff Clerks Canadian Army in 1940, rising to the rank of Major. He served overseas with the 23rd Self-Propelled Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery with the 4th Canadian Division and was wounded in action just one week prior to the termination of hostilities. Ken continued to serve in the armed forces both at home and abroad. From 1955 to 1956, he was in Vietnam with the Truce Commission of the United Nations. This was followed by postings in New Brunswick, Petawawa and Fort Churchill. In addition to a number of medals already received, he was awarded The Canadian Forces Declaration and Bar prior to his retirement from the Armed Forces in 1976, with the designation and rank of Major. Ken was proud to follow in the footsteps of his father's distinguished Masonic careers, beginning with his initiation into St. Andrew's Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons No. 569 in Ottawa in 1954. He was Past Master, Zetland Lodge Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons No. 326 G.R.C. (now Zetland Wilson Lodge A.F.& a.m. No. 86 G.R.C.) and served the office of Worshipful Master 1974 and 2000. Ken celebrated fifty years, a member of the Masonic fraternity in 2004. He was an active member of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada; appointed Director First Aid, Valley of Toronto 2003. He served as member of First Aid Team Moore Sovereign Consistory, Hamilton, Ontario from 1998 to 2003. Ken was coroneted Honorary Inspector General 33° A. and A.S.R. September 2007. He was also an active member of York Rite Freemasonry: member, Victoria Chapter No. 205 Royal Arch Masons. Founding member and original First Principal, Fort Prince of Wales Chapter No 20 Royal Arch Masons, Province of Manitoba; appointed Very Excellent Companion in 1964. He was the Royal and Select Master, The Council of Cryptic Rite Masons of Canada and Knights Templar, Ottawa Preceptory No. 32 Member Red Cross of Constantine, Holy Land Conclave No. 3, The Masonic and Military Orders of the Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, KHS and Saint_John the Evangelist Grand Imperial Conclave of Canada. Ken was a dedicated volunteer with Saint_John Ambulance where he achieved the rank of Commander of the Order of Saint_John. He also volunteered for years with the Heart and Stroke Foundation - one of the first cardio-pulmonary resuscitation instructor-trainers in Ontario. Ken is predeceased by his wives, Mary Anita MARTIN and Helen Orr SMITH; daughter, Elizabeth PARKINSON and grand_son, Darrell HEANS. Eleanor is survived by her son Stephen (Glenda) and her daughter Janet BUCHAN. Much loved grandmother of Heather BUCHAN. Eleanor will be missed by her step grandchildren Kim HELMER, Karalene LOVETT (Curtis,) and their families. Friends may call at the Trull 'North Toronto' Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south of Lawrence) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11: 00 o'clock. JAN DEN BOER, Evert (April 27, 1912-July 5, 2008)
It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Evert JAN DEN BOER, announce his passing at his home on Saturday, July 5, 2008. Evert is survived by his wife Selma, and his sister Marguerta in Barendrecht, Holland. Predeceased by wife Maria VAN DER SCHOOR. He will be forever missed by son Tonny and wife Linda, daughter Jacomina, and step-daughter Deanna and daughter-in-law, Vera DEN BOER. Predeceased by his beloved son John who passed away on November 30, 1997. His grandchildren Heather, Jon, Helen, Andrea and husband Stefan, David and wife Melissa, Aaron and wife Jennifer, Jason, Lauren, Liam and Caitlin. Evert also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, Sydney (Heather), Nathan and Hannah (Andrea), Emily and Oliver (David), Sydney and Montanna (Helen), and Aiden (Aaron). Brother-in-law to Jean and Junior LOVEYS and uncle to Lorie and Brian. Oom Eef to Theo, Cobi and Piet and their children Carola and Frans and Carola's son Shaquielle in Holland. Evert was a true gentleman, a man of integrity who lived his life with much dignity, honour and respect. Evert had a distinguished career as a founding member of the Canadian Society of Club Managers and a member of the Club Managers Association of America. His last 16 years before retirement were spent as General Manager of Scarboro Golf and Country Club. At Scarboro he was well respected for his devoted ser vice to the members. Family and Friends will be received at the 'Scarborough Chapel' of McDougall and Brown, 2900 Kingston Road (east of St. Clair Ave. E.) 416-267-4656 on Tuesday, July 8 from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held for Evert in the Chapel on Wednesday, July 9 at 1 p.m. Interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Clayton LOVIE, in his 98th year, formerly of Grand Bend, went to join his beloved wife of 52 years, Hazel Lorena (WAGHORN) LOVIE (1917-1992.) Loved father and father-in-law of Eileen and James MacINTYRE and Bradley LOVIE, all of London, Gary and Mary LOVIE of Wellesly. Loving grandpa of Tim MacINTYRE and his wife Lori, Jodie McKEON, Fran LOVIE, Tom LOVIE and wife Dawn and great-grandpa of Travis McKEON, Kayla McKEON, Shannon MacINTYRE, Kate BARDWELL, Emma BARDWELL and Victoria LOVIE.
