Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday afternoon, April 2nd, 2008. Josephine Barbara DOHERTY (née LOBB,) of Owen Sound, in her 75th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late William DOHERTY. Loving mother of Randy DOHERTY and his wife, Susan, Cathy AARUP and her partner, Rick SAUNDERS, Marlene DOHERTY, Mike DOHERTY and his wife, Kim, Karen HILLYER and her husband, Peter and Mark DOHERTY and his wife, Tammy, all of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of Brent, Andrew, Laura, Nicole, Christina, Melissa, Matthew, Brad, Justin, Adam, Braedon, Ashley, Justin, Jenny and Emma and great-grandmother of Summer, Brooke, Zachery and Hailey. Dear sister of Iva BAILEY and her husband, Howard, of Flinton, Dorothy CRAWFORD, of Deseronto and Edward LOBB and his wife, Marie, of Belleville. Predeceased by her parents, Clayton and Edith LOBB; her brothers, Ronald, Donald and Clayton LOBB her brother-in-law, John CRAWFORD. Friends may call at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 - 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario, N4K-3X8 (519-376-7492) on Friday evening, April 4th, 2008 from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service. A Funeral Service for Josephine DOHERTY will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 at 11: 00 with Doctor Brad CLARK officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Monday, March 10, 2008, Nola Mae (HODGINS) LOVE of Grand Bend, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Everard LOVE (1989.) Daughter of the late Mansell and Mae (CARRUTHERS) HODGINS. Dearest mother of Betty DATARS of Grand Bend, Don and Connie LOVE of Midland, Clare and Janet LOVE of Sarnia, Kathy and Fred LOBB of Clinton. Loving and proud grandma of June and Tony, Janet and Joe, Kevin and Nancy and Krisan, Dan and Helena, David and Leesa, Leanne and Peter, Rob and Teresa, Diane and Steve, Randall and Nisa, Rhonda and Steve, Rick and Kate, great-grandmother of 24 and great great-grandmother of two. Dear sister-in-law of Wilma LOVE. Remembered fondly by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Peacefully surrounded by her family at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Adrienne Marie (HILDERBRAND) BEATTIE of Goderich at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Harry BEATTIE (2004.) Dear mother of Judy and Bill SINCLAIR of Palmerston, Lori and Brad VANSTONE of Benmiller, Vicki and Burt LOBB of Londesborough and Jim and Melissa BEATTIE of Goderich. Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sister of Rene SIEROLAWSKI of Ottawa. Also predeceased by one son James Vincent, brothers Don and Greg HILDERBRAND. D'SOUZA, Lorna (née LOBO)
Lorna D'SOUZA daughter of Grace (late Joseph LOBO) left us for her heavenly abode March 13, 2008. She died peacefully after her struggle with cancer which she bore in her customary brave and calm way. We were all by her side: her loving Mum Grace, her loving husband Kevin, her dearest daughters Karen and Danielle, her inseparable sisters, Myrtle SALDANHA (Lew) Lew Jr., Andrew Christina D'SOUZA (Carl) Carina, Julian, Shauna, Alisha; Noella MILNE (Chris) Shane, Craig, Natasha; and Pamela LOBO. Her loving brothers the late Victor LOBO (Dorothy) Amanda; Denzil LOBO (Selma) Sharleen, Kathleen, Mumbai, India. Loving daughter-in-law of Geni D'SOUZA (late Bill;) sister-in-law of Shaila ARANHA (Vernon,) JillAnn (Savio), Kimberly. Lorna was 'the Oracle' to whom all came for enlightenment. Devoted to her Catholic faith and brilliant to the end, all who encountered Lorna were captivated by her genuine love for everyone, keen intelligence and great sense of humour. She fought so hard to be with her husband and daughters for as long as possible even though she had already equipped them well for the journey of their lives ahead without her physical presence. Born in Mumbai, India on May 31, 1953 she left India in 1987 to start a new life with her family here in Canada. Lorna you will never be forgotten - our lives have forever been transformed by you. LOBSINGER, Jean Ella (REVINGTON)
On Tuesday, April 8, 2008, Jean Ella (REVINGTON) LOBSINGER, age 96, went home to be with her Lord. Beloved wife of 64 years of the late Doctor Leonard LOBSINGER. A wonderful and loving mother to Joe LOBSINGER and his wife Anne, Sarnia and Marie and her husband Doctor William DAFOE, Edmonton. Dear grandmother of Stephanie, Karoline, Kristen, Allan and Joanna. Great-grandmother of Madeline, Annabelle, Cameron and Anders. Sister of Kathleen (Kay) LANKIN, Lucan. Predeceased by granddaughter Heather DAFOE, brothers Wesley and Sheridan and by sisters Marie, Gayle and Eva. Mom was born in Lucan, Ontario and graduated in 1933 in Nursing at the Sarnia General Hospital. For over 50 years, she managed a loving home and supervised Dad's Animal Hospital practice at their Davis St. home. She was a life long member of Saint_Joseph's Catholic Women's League and served as a volunteer for the Children's Aid Society. A special thank you to Marilyn, Rhoda and all the special angels who made it possible for Mom to stay in her own home. Much appreciation to the staff at Trillium Villa Nursing and especially Rhoda for their wonderful care in the last 2 years. Visitation at the McKenzie and Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3: 30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Matthew BEDARD at Saint_Joseph's Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, Friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite Street, Point Edward, N7V 1A6. Mother had abounding faith in God. A prayer that she said often was "Dear Lord, There Is Nothing That Will Happen Today That You and I Can't Handle Together." We thank God for giving us such a lovely mother.
