October 1930 - October 2008
In loving memory of Lorna Elizabeth VANHORNE who passed away in Sudbury on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the age of 78. She will be sadly missed by husband Clayton. Cherished mother of Marie LEPAGE (husband Paul) of Sudbury, Ronnie SLOSS of M'Chigeeng, Marilyn GOODINE (husband Len) of Saint Catherines, Danielle (predeceased,) Janet TAILOR/TAYLOR (husband Dennis) of Whitefish, and son Victor who resides at home. Beloved grandmother of Penny Murphy (husband Patrick), Steven Dionne (wife Tina), Shawna McGRAW,
Tyler, Brittany and Tara Sloss, Todd Noble (wife Katrina), Cindy Houle
(husband Jason), Tammy Mutch (husband Les), and Crystal Taylor (friend
Mike). Predeceased by granddaughter Echo Dee. Loved by her many great
grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Lawrence and Elizabeth Tann. Dear
sister of Irene CADIEUX (husband Charlie predeceased,) Cliff Tann (wife
Marie), Ron Tann (predeceased) (wife Ann Marie) all of Mindemoya.
Predeceased by brother-in-law Charlie Wood. Dear friend of Cathy and
Morley, and will also be missed by feline friend Bessie. Visitation was 7-
9 pm Sunday. Funeral Service was held at 11 am Monday, November 3, 2008
at the Island Funeral Home with Reverend Faye Stevens officiating. Cremation.
Donations to Manitoulin Health Center Aux. or Mindemoya Hospital Aux. would be appreciated.

At McGarrell Place, London, Ontario on Thursday, April 24th, 2008, Elmer James LONG of London in his 102nd year. Finally his prayers were answered and Elmer joined his beloved wife and best friend the late Nellie (WILSON) LONG in Heaven. Mr. LONG was a co-founder of Wood Lynn Farms Limited. Dear father of Ted LONG and his wife Sherri and Catherine MORRISON and her husband Larry all of London. Predeceased by his parents James and Lillian LONG, his brother Wilmer LONG, his sisters Hazel BLANEY, Evelyn LONG, Pearl HAY, Pauline LONG and his son Gerry LONG and his wife Irene. Much loved grandfather to Jim LONG and his wife Sarah, David LONG, Dennis LONG and his wife Mari, Christine LONG and her husband Dean GOCAN, Dan LONG and his wife Amy LEPAGE, Merieh GIBBS and her husband Steve, and Jina STAINBROOK and her husband Duane great-grandfather to Ryan LONG and his wife Nadine, Rhianna LEACH/LEECH/LEITCH and her husband Jason, Spencer and Aidan LONG, Katie, Bella and Sophia LONG, Bo and Paige GOCAN, Mikaila, Gage and Riley GIBBS and Bridger and Cooper STAINBROOK and great-great-grandfather to Neisa and Arianna LONG. Also survived by Dianne Evans and his many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment of cremated remains in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario. LEPAGE, George Henry
After a full life, George passed away suddenly but peacefully at home in his 85th year on Sunday, January 20, 2008. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years Joyce (née RANDALL.) Dear father of Mike (Chris), Rob (Jill), and Tom (Jill). Extremely proud grandfather of Gord (Keegan), Linda (Jason), Jessica, Will, Alex, Leigh, Stephen, and great-grandfather of twins Trevor and Charlie. Brother of Don (deceased), Betty MADDEN, Mary FRASER (deceased), Peter, Larry, and David. Brother-in-law of Shirley, Barbara, and Mary Ellen and the late David FRASER and Cliff MADDEN. George was a devoted family man and was one of the last surviving Lancaster Bomber pilots, an avid golfer (Lambton Golf and Country Club) right up until the first snowfall of this winter, and was an active Toronto Real Estate Board member since 1946. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street, W at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. A private service for the family will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice.

GARDINER, Melvin Thomas Bardo
(February 21, 1924-January 28, 2008)
Thomas "Spud" GARDNER died quietly in his sleep at Chelsey Park Nursing Home in London, Ontario on Monday, January 28th, 2008 following a struggle with Alzheimer's. He is survived in London by his heroic and caring wife of 57 years Rita (POW,) his daughter Debra, whose devotion is timeless; his son, the constant and patient David; in Mississauga, by his devoted son Brent, and in Toronto, by his devoted son Craig, his daughter-in-law Sue LEPAGE, and his two very loving grandchildren, Molly and Morgan. Thomas was pre-deceased by his son, Grant, who passed in 1999. There will not be a funeral visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family service to follow at a future date. At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, on Sunday, April 6, 2008, Judith L. Allan (née FINCH) of Glencoe in her 68th year. Reunited in heaven with her husband Kenneth and son Bradley. Cherished mother of John ALLAN (Sheilann,) Aleta RAYNER (Doug), James ALLAN (Eva) and Margy ALBRECHT (Dave). Loving Mamma of Ben and Meghan ALLAN, Joel and Heidi RAYNER, Cameron and Kenny ALLAN, Rebecca, Wesley and Emily ALBRECHT. At the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Friday, February 8, 2008. In her 79th year, Mary Jean (née HETHERINGTON) the loving wife of Robert for 58 years. Loving mother of Larry BLYTHE and his wife Liz of London, Janice and her husband Roger SCARR of Barrie and Carol and her husband Jim BELL of Port Elgin. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Amber, Kim and Richard BLYTHE, Carly and Laura SCARR, Christa, Jamie, Dina and Blair BELL. Dear sister of Joan and her husband Bill LEPPARD of Cambridge. A private family memorial gathering to commemorate Jean's full life will be held at a later date. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
