TRIMMER, Ruth Ellen
Peacefully on March 1, 2008, at the age of 63, surrounded by loving family and Friends. Ruth was a unique, loving, vibrant person who will continue to be cherished by all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed by Jean DEETH, her beloved partner of 25 years. Treasured 'daughter' of Jean's mom, Margaret, and dearly loved sister of David and Marianne McKAY. Predeceased by parents Rev. Vincent TRIMMER and Ellen McKay TRIMMER.
Ruth will be sadly missed by a large circle of family and Friends including Tim and Lynda DEETH, with Matthew, Michael, Thomas and Corey; Carolyn DEETH and Philip Blackford with Christopher and Ben; Debbie and Bill Trucker with Albert, Kyle and Adam; Lori and Brien Ricker with Michaela and Mackenzie; Jeff and Patty TRIMMER with Jessica; and cousins Carroll and Sharon McKAY.
The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff of the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Toronto General Hospital, with special thanks to Grace HO- YOUNG and Doctor LAZAR. Funeral service to be held at the Church of the Redeemer (Bloor and Avenue Rd.) on Wednesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.

At her residence after a lengthy illness, on Monday, March 3, 2008, Norien (GRAMLICH) ALDRIDGE of London, at the age of 77. Wife of the late Butch ALDRIDGE. Beloved mother of Nancy and Lloyd DEVEAU, Marilyn and Bill MURRAY, Lenny ALDRIDGE, Lynne and Gary LAZARAVITCH, Debbie and Brian RAMSEY, Donna SMITH, and Donald and Maureen ALDRIDGE. Loving grandmother of 14, great-grandmother of 16, and great-great-grandmother of 2. Dear sister of Alice Jean MAY. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Following with Norien's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. with Rev. Frank MANTZ officiating. Private family interment, Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Norien are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association. In Collingwood on Friday, July 4, 2008, Alexander, dear husband of the late Donna Isabel LAZAROFF. Loved father of Rick (Darlene WATTERS), Andrei and Stefan. Brother of Irene (Joseph) SANNUTO. Alexander will be missed by his extended family and by his associates and Friends in the music business. All are welcome to visit at the Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd. (at St. Clair Ave. East, 416-267-8229) on Thursday, July 10, 2008. Suddenly, as the result of an accident, on Saturday, April 26, 2008, Spencer Charles KNIGHT in his 18th year. Beloved son of Koni and Ted KNIGHT and Michael LAZET. Dear brother of Eric KNIGHT. Loved grand_son of Roy KNIGHT and Pearl McBRIDE. Spencer is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his grandfather, Sonny McCHARLES and his grandmother Dorothy KNIGHT. JENNINGS, Warring Laird
(September 25, 1918-June 10, 2008)
A lifelong resident of Hamilton, Laird passed away peacefully at Saint Peter's Hospital in his 90th year. He is survived by his beloved wife Jean and children Laird (Joan) JENNINGS, Mary (Barry) McKEON, Barbara (Colin) LAZIER, Maggie Butterfield (Ditch) DICKINSON. Dear Grandfather to Sarah and Stephen (Laura) JENNINGS; David and Holly McKEON; Amy (Erik) SCHAEFER, Kate, Colin and William LAZIER; David (Lauren), Andrew and Taylor DICKINSON: Great-grandfather to Lauren, Liam and Matthew; Beth and Martha and Zoë. He is predeceased by his sister Elsa. He is also survived by his sister Joan BIRMINGHAM of Vancouver. Laird served with the Royal Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force as Flt. Lt. in World War 2 and he was awarded Hamilton's first Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a Hamilton City Alderman, Past Chair of the Hamilton Club, Past President of the Caledon Mountain Trout Club and a member of the Tamahaac Club. Laird happily retired from Jennings Insurance to pursue fly fishing, duck hunting and skeet shooting. He will be sadly missed by his many Friends. Special thanks for the loving care given to Laird by the 3 East staff at Saint Peter's Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 64 Forest Avenue, Hamilton, on Friday, June 13 at 11 a.m. Donations in Laird's memory may be made to the Church of the Ascension, the McMaster Institute of Urology at Saint_Joseph's Healthcare or the charity of your choice.
