Phil died peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Toronto Grace
Hospital after a brave and inspiring seven year struggle with
cancer. Her untimely death at the age of 55 leaves a void in
the lives of those who love her, including: her husband Colin
LIPSON; her sister Mary and her brothers Peter, Frankie and Louis,
and their families; and her many Friends. Phil was a physician
at Humber River Regional Hospital for many years. We will all
treasure memories of her love, Friendship, kindness and humour.
Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas
St. W., (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Tuesday from
5-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of the Resurrection,

Tom passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, January 20,
2008 at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Centre in Kitchener,
Ontario, in his 87th year, following a bravely borne and lengthy
illness. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Doris, his daughters

LAVENDER) of Kitchener, Helen (Andrew

Mississauga, and his son, Stephen of Mississauga. Tom is lovingly
remembered by his grandchildren, Robert and Katherine

Tom is also survived
by his sister Stella
KELLY, his sisters-in-law, Marie

Isabel THORNTON, and many nieces and nephews in England. Tom
was born in Seaham Harbour, England. He served in the British
Merchant Marine (Blue Funnel Line) during the Second World War
during which he survived a torpedo attack which sank the ship
on which he was serving. Tom joined Lloyds Register of Shipping
in 1949, and lived and worked in many countries during his tenure.
He was their Senior Principal Surveyor for Canada from 1969 until
his retirement in 1986, and will be well remembered in the marine
community. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24th
from 2: 00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at
4: 30 p.m., at the McKersie Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street,
Milton, Ontario. Please join the family for a celebration of
Tom's Life at the Grand Chalet Banquet Hall, 324 Steeles Ave.

of 48½, and had a long career as a professional engineer. At

years ago after being married for 44 years, Paddy leaves three

Central Hospital and Sunnybrook Medical Centre for their wonderful

Sister Anna Catherine for her strong faith, keen wit, and ongoing
interest in life. All services for Sister will be held at the

Died peacefully on June 8th, 2008 at 89 Years of Age. Born February 13,
1919 at 3: 17 p.m. at Wellesley Hospital Toronto to Doctor Dennis

JORDAN, he is survived by son Dennis and wife
Cathy of Huntsville; son Jamie and wife Meg of Huntsville, and
daughter Mary and husband Carl of Toronto; by his grandchildren:
Dennis, Patrick, Andrew, Megan, Benjamie, Sarah and Jordan; and
by 3 great-grandchildren: Isabella, Evan and Jadon and almost
by a 4th, James, due any day. He is pre-deceased by his first
wife Margery

GERALD, whom he loved more than words
can say. Prior to graduating from Upper Canada College, he was
expelled from Public School for 'accidentally' tossing a lit
firecracker into his Principal's hair. In 1939, he set aside
pre-med studies at U. of T. to enlist in the Royal Canadian Air
Force Trained as an Observer he was stationed in England. In
1940 he and his entire crew survived a 25 mission tour. They
volunteered for a 2nd tour on condition they remain intact as
a group. He spent the remainder of the war training pilots in
Canada. After the war Jim built and ran a resort in Huntsville
called Ski Jump Inn until it was expropriated in 1977. Jim was
a faithful Rotarian who attended his last meeting only 2 weeks
ago with the help of his loyal friend Bill
McDONNELL. He was
President of the club in 1961 and most proud of leading Rotary's
creation of the Pioneer Village. He was a school trustee in his
beloved Stephenson Township; President of the Hospital Board
an elder at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church; President of the
Muskoka Housing Authority; President of Muskoka Tourism Board
and founder and President of the Huntsville Poker Club. He was
an active member of the Liberal Party of Canada gaining the nomination
in 1962 for Parry Sound Muskoka. Hugh MacKenzie referred to Jim
as "The Senator from Stephenson Township". After the Inn was
expropriated, Jim became a Real Estate Agent ending up at Royal
Lepage and going on to become President of the Muskoka Real Estate
Board. Larry Ireland, Gary Smith and Debbie Renton were loyal
Friends last visiting him only days before his passing. Jim was
a wonderful husband, a good father, a loving grandfather and
astonished to be a great-grandfather. He believed in service
to others and was famous for his marvelous sense of humour. In
lieu of flowers, Jim would want donations to be made to the Toronto
Power
