Predeceased by her brother Bill DRYDEN. Dear father of Peter DITTRICH of Vancouver, British Columbia, Charles DITTRICH and his wife Adele of Burlington and Grace DITTRICH and her partner Sam DUNCAN of Toronto. Survived by his grand_son Dylan. Fondly remembered by his nephews Peter KUNSTL and Walter HOLLER of Bregenz, Austria. Of Mar peacefully at Wiarton Hospital on Thursday February 14th, 2008. Edward Eric WHITE/WHYTE at the age of 89 years. Loving husband of Shirley (née ROBINSON) and the late Florence (née HILL.) Beloved father of Bob (Ruth), of Dowling; Stephen (Britt), of Mar; Neil (Joan,) of Cargill; Ruth Ann KUNTZ (and friend Mervin,) of Drayton Allan (Debbie), of Kemble; Kate WHITE/WHYTE (Jim DOBBIE), of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; Nancy WHITE/WHYTE (Stewart NUTT,) of Southampton; and Susan WHITE/WHYTE (Kelly WILSON,) of Calgary, Alberta. Special step-father of Carolyn (Tom DALMUS,) of Anglewood; Gerald LOURIE (Julie,) of Collingwood; Richard LOURIE (Loretta,) of Sauble Beach; Stephen LOURIE (Josephine,) of Chatham; and Linda (Evan MacKINNON,) of Guelph. Cherished grandpa of 32 and great-grandfather of 14. Forever missed by his sister Edith STEPHENS, of Wiarton. Ed is predeceased by his parents Henry and Josephine; brothers Mac, Ollie, and Arthur; sisters Emily and Connie. Ed loved his community, serving it through his tireless involvement with the Co-op Board, Hospital Board, School Board, and the Agricultural Society. He farmed at Mar for 34 years; owned and operated the Mar ESSO for 6 years; and managed the Tamarac Club. Family invite Friends to join with them for visitation at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home and Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041, on Saturday February 16, 2008 from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Ed's full life will be conducted from the chapel on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dave taught Building Construction at South Huron High School from 1975-1994.
