ARGYLE, Lois Ann (née MEREDITH)
Of Port Stanley, and formerly of Stratford, Markham and Kitchener, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 63rd year. Dearly loved wife of Gord ARGYLE and loved mother of Drew and his wife Kim GLOVER of Orangeville and David GLOVER of Kitchener and dear step-mother of Brock ARGYLE of Goderich and Sean ARGYLE of London. Loved grandmother of Benjamin, Brett and Shay. Dear sister of Lorna and her husband Murray SCARLETT of Barrie and Larry and his wife Eleanor MEREDITH of Texas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Lois was born in Saint Thomas on May 7th, 1945, the daughter of the late William MEREDITH and Mary KEY. She was a retired Hairdresser. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Cremation, with interment in South Park Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas in charge of arrangements.

ARGYLE, Lois Ann

McPETRIE, Dorothy Burns (née RAE)
On April 18, 2008, at Longworth Nursing Home with family at her side, just short of her 98th birthday after a long and fulfilling life. Born in Burlington, Ontario, she was the only daughter of the late Elizabeth and John RAE. Beloved wife of the late Francis J. "Peter" McPETRIE. Predeceased by her brothers, Donald RAE (Dorothy,) Mississauga and Edgar RAE (Emma,) Ottawa, and sister-in law Elizabeth "Betty" MATHESON (Murdoch " Bud,") London, and nephew Eugene RAE, Toronto. Fondly remembered by her nieces Nancy RAE, Edmonton, Penny KEYES (Bob), Ottawa, and Susan GARRINGTON (Brian,) Cathy ELLEFSEN (David,) her grandnieces Cathy BROPHY (David,) Jacqueline and Julie ELLEFSEN and great-grandnephew Daniel BROPHY, all of London, Ontario. Remembered also by her cousins and many Friends. Dorothy graduated in 1932 from Victoria College, University of Toronto, in French and classics. After graduation, she taught secondary school in Paris, Ontario, until her marriage in 1941. She worked for the Bank of Montreal in Toronto after her marriage and through the war years. Subsequently, she and her husband Peter, an accountant with the Bank of Montreal, enjoyed his various postings with the Bank throughout southwestern Ontario. During her life, Dorothy pursued her interests in painting (founding member of the Lambeth Art Society), travel, gardening, music and watching golf. She will be remembered for her great love of family and her passion for reading and crossword puzzles. On behalf of Dorothy, the family would like to thank the staff at the Ashwood Retirement Residence, Lambeth and the Longworth Nursing Home, London, for their wonderful care and support. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Lambeth United Church, 4268 Colonel Talbot Road, London on Friday July 18, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London (519-433-5184). In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Humane Society, London Public Library (Byron branch), or the Outreach Program at Lambeth United Church would be appreciated.

BLACKBURN, Louisa Amanda (née WATERFIELD)
Peacefully at University Hospital, London, Ontario, on Friday, March 14th, 2008 Louisa Amanda BLACKBURN of London, in her 87th year. Predeceased by her parents Nathaniel (1935) and Esther (SLADE) (1931) WATERFIELD, brother George WATERFIELD (1980) and his family; Edward WATERFIELD (1944,) husband Donald BLANCHARD (1970) and Richard BLACKBURN (1999.) Sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Joan, husband Robert MURRAY of Belmont, their son Scot MURRAY, his children Colin and Mariah. Their daughter Kristine and Stacy GALLANT and her son Robby GAUTHIER. Diana, her husband Anthony KEYS of London and their son Mark of Toronto and daughter Lisa and husband Richard GERARD of London and their children Dustin and Jessica. Louisa wished to be cremated. A private burial will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road, in charge of arrangements. It is with sadness that the family of Ivan William (Steve) STEPHENSON announces his passing peacefully at the Trillium Health Centre Mississauga on Friday, April 4, 2008 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Joan Lucille. Dear father of Bryan (Susan), Brad (Leslie), and the late Bruce. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Jennifer (Arturo), Paul (Cathy), and Amy (Josh), and great-grandchildren Samuel, Cole, Gabbi, Maggie, Julia and Joey. Steve is survived by brother Ralph, sister Joyce BURT and sister-in-law Jetrid OSMOND. Predeceased by his sister Julene KEYS and sister-in-law Bernice CURRIE. He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Peacefully on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 at the age of 93. Harry KEYSTONE, predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years Belle KEYSTONE. Loving father and father-in-law of Jay KEYSTONE, Ed and Sue KEYSTONE, Carolyn KEYSTONE and Jim MEEKISON, Marianne KEYSTONE and Charles GOLDHAR, Pam KEYSTONE and Bob MILLER. Beloved husband of the former Muriel ROGERS and loving father of Karen and her husband Mike SMITH of Meaford and Brian LUSH, at home, Temple Hill. Sadly missed Papa of Riley SMITH and Chants and Milo LUSH. Dear brother of Wilda LUSH of Meaford, Winnie LUSH and Joan LUSH of Owen Sound, and Ian and his wife Marion LUSH of Etobicoke. Predeceased by a sister Mona and remembered by her husband Gordon BURRELL of Bruderheim, Alberta.
