TAILOR/TAYLOR, Thelma Norene (née COOK)
Thelma passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services in Meaford at the age of 84, on Saturday May 3, 2008, after a brief illness. Born in Euphrasia Township on April 9, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harman and Clara (née HINDMAN) COOK. Thelma married Arthur Herbert TAILOR/TAYLOR on October 26, 1946. The couple enjoyed working together in the family orchards in Clarksburg for many years. Bird watching, quilting, gardening and baking apple pies were some of Thelma's many interests. Thelma will be remembered for her ever present smile and quiet manner. She was committed not only to her family but also to her church and community. She will be forever remembered as a loving mother by her daughter Bonnie and her husband Brian McCOLGAN of Meaford, son Ted TAILOR/TAYLOR and his wife Sonia of Chatham, and daughter Joyce GAUCI of Meaford. Thelma was predeceased by her beloved husband Art in February 1994 and by her daughter Linda THOMS of Craigleith in August 2004. Thelma was the cherished mother-in-law of Brenda TAILOR/TAYLOR of Clarksburg and Stewart THOMS of Craigleith. Thelma will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Taylor and Kelly; Michelle (Kevin), Michael (Anna), Meghan (Mike), Joey and Jessie; Erin (Blue); Dustin and Josh and by her great-granddaughters; Caitlin, Keira and Kendra. She was predeceased by her brother, Beverley COOK of Rocklyn, in September 2000 and is warmly remembered by her sister-in-law Eileen COOK of Owen Sound. Thelma will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Edna (late Fred) TAILOR/TAYLOR of Victoria British Columbia and formerly of Clarksburg, Edna (late Willard) JULIAN of Meaford, Elsie (late Don) WATTS of Clarksburg, and Audrey (late Howard) EAGLES, of Meaford. Her several nieces and nephews and their families will also recall their Aunt Thelma with great affection. Thelma's funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford and funeral services, officiated by Reverend Dr. Robert BUCHANAN, were conducted at Saint Paul's Presbyterian Church in Thornbury on Tuesday May 6, 2008. Son-in-law Brian McCOLGAN and son Ted TAILOR/TAYLOR offered remembrances of Thelma in tribute to her life during the service. A service of committal and interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford where Thelma was interred beside her late husband Art with pallbearers being grand_sons Kelly McCOLGAN, Michael and Joseph TAILOR/TAYLOR, Blue MELNICK, and Dustin and Josh GAUCI. May God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again.

Died peacefully surrounded by the love of Janet and Paul GAUTREAU, Robert BOYES and Christine McNAMARA Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich, in her 100th year. Ethel was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Seaforth Agricultural Society, the Egmondville United Church, and was a valued member of the Seaforth Business Community with Boyes Farm Supply. Loved by the Seaforth and Bayfield Communities. Cherished grandmother of Robert and Kathy BOYES, Saint Marys, Janet and Paul GAUTREAU, Winthrop, Anne (Julian) and Kirk FAGERGRENS, California, Michael and Gina JULIAN, Nashville, Tennessee, and Bruce, Dennis, Carol, Bill, Cathy, Bernadette and Kevin BOYES, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Sister-in-law to Robert and Marion BOYES, Orillia, Dorothy CAMERON (Art,) London and Jessie CAMERON (Doc,) Hensall. A loving great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt to so many. Predeceased by her parents George and Mary CAMERON, née MacKAY, husband Alex BOYES, sons William BOYES and John BOYES, daughter Phyllis JULIAN, son-in-law Conrad JULIAN, brothers William John CAMERON (Doc), Glen CAMERON, Arthur CAMERON, sister Isabel, sister-in-law Muriel CAMERON, brother-in-law Ed BOYES (Alice,) great-granddaughter Amanda ECKERT and nephew Danny CAMERON. Family will receive Friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16 at 11: 00 a.m. Pastor Stephen HILDEBRAND will officiate. Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Sunday February 17, 2008. Renate SCHUSTER (née JULIER) of Owen Sound in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Hans. Dear mother of Mike of Germany, Patrick (Tina), Kelly, all of Owen Sound, Tammy of Toronto and Kevin of Sarnia. Sadly missed by a grand_son Brian SCHUSTER of Calgary. Also survived by her cousin Wolfgang JULIER of Berlin. Predeceased by a son Andy. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock with Father Steve LACROIX officiating. Cremation, Flesherton Crematorium. Flowers are gratefully declined. OLDHAM, Wendy (née JULL)
Sadly on June 11th, 2008 Wendy OLDHAM, mother to Margaret, wife to Donald, daughter to Edgar and Gladys JULL and sister to Kenneth JULL, passed away after a long and courageous battle against the disease of Scleroderma. The family is grateful for all the support and caring that her many Friends and church congregation members showed through this ordeal. Wendy loved life, and in particular had a passion for boating up north and singing in church choir. Wendy is now at peace in the loving arms of the Almighty Father. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at one o'clock on Thursday, June 19. The family requests anyone to send a donation to the Scleroderma Society of Ontario in lieu of flowers.
