pre-med studies at U. of T. to enlist in the Royal Canadian Air
Force Trained as an Observer he was stationed in England. In
1940 he and his entire crew survived a 25 mission tour. They
volunteered for a 2nd tour on condition they remain intact as
a group. He spent the remainder of the war training pilots in
Canada. After the war Jim built and ran a resort in Huntsville
called Ski Jump Inn until it was expropriated in 1977. Jim was
a faithful Rotarian who attended his last meeting only 2 weeks
ago with the help of his loyal friend Bill
McDONNELL. He was
President of the club in 1961 and most proud of leading Rotary's
creation of the Pioneer Village. He was a school trustee in his
beloved Stephenson Township; President of the Hospital Board
