INNES,
John
It is with sorrow that we wish to tell the passing of our beloved
John INNES.
November 3, 1928-February 15, 2008. John loved his
family and loved life. He loved a celebration Christmas, Easter
or Sunday afternoon. Nothing made him happier than to fill up
the house with family and Friends and to share his joy with them.
He leaves his wife Betty and sons Grant and Andrew. Brothers
Blair (Denise), David (Freida) and sister Eleanor (Jim). Nieces
Nancy, Caroline, Erica, Lynda, Robyn, Janet, and nephew Robert.
Flying was one of his passions and he bought his first small
airplane at 26, back in days when one still had to swing the
prop. After that he shared ownership with other planes. What
a wonderful time he had with his Friends Rocco and Elmer. His
wife also flew and shared his love of the air as well. Then there
was the Barbershop singing. He and his brother Dave sang with
the Upper Canada Chordsmen every Wednesday and would sing on
the back deck while they barbecued. He was in business for himself
for 50 years and worked until he was 76 as he still enjoyed getting
up and getting going. Please join us for visitation from 2-4 and
6: 30-8:30 p.m. Monday in Trinity Anglican Church (79 Victoria
Street, Aurora, South of Wellington, East of Yonge). A celebration
of John's life will take place in the church on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Interment Aurora cemetery, Wednesday 2 p.m. In memory of John,
donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
