Diane Kay WOLCH of Victoria, British Columbia ended her long
fight with cancer early on the morning of January 26, 2008. Born
in Montreal, Quebec to Muriel Olive and Charles Tappen
WILSON.
Diane was raised in Montreal where she graduated from McGill

her parents, and her sister, Joan

After moving to Victoria in 1994, she was appointed to the British
Columbia Securities Commission for 3 consecutive terms. Always
generous, Diane's volunteer work was varied and extensive. In
Winnipeg, she was actively involved in the Junior League, eventually
becoming President. She was a member of the Board of Governors
and Treasurer of Balmoral Hall School. And, she was a member
of the Board of Directors of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet for nine

her involvement in Dragonboat racing in Victoria after she was
diagnosed with cancer. Her hobbies included poker, bridge, book
club, birding and gourmet cooking. The family would like to express
our deepest thanks to Doctor Phillip Kelly and the nurses on 7A
at the Victoria General Hospital for making the last weeks of
