HORN, a resident of Little Current, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre,
Little Current on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the age of 78 years.
She was born at Elizabeth Bay, daughter of the late William and Rebecca

Annie had worked in the kitchen at the Little Current Hospital for
many years. She enjoyed country music, and liked to go to community events
and community dinners. She was often seen driving her car and she loved to shop.
She will be sadly missed in her community. Annie was predeceased by her husband

HORN in 1966. She is survived by her loving brother Melvin

Went home to be with her Lord on January 11, 2008 in Red Deer
General Hospital, Alberta at the age of 82. Velma was born on
her father's farm in Sunnidale Township, Ontario on Saturday
July 11, 1925. She was the youngest of 7 children born to William
and Eliza FISHER.
She attended the 12th Line school and graduated
in 1943 from Marvel School of Hair Design in Toronto. She married
Harry MARTIN on February 22, 1947 and they were blessed with
4 children and almost 50 years of Marriage. They built their
home in Wasaga Beach in 1950 where Mom established Martin's Hairstyling
and Dad, Martin's Camping which they operated until 1975. She
accepted Christ as her Saviour in 1964. Her Bible was her constant
companion (even taking it to the Beach) and her passion was sharing
her faith and praying for others. She leaves to rejoice in a

Betty succumbed to complications after her surgery of January 1,

Special aunt of Brian, Dianne, Linda, Susan,
David and Brenda. Betty was born in Saint Thomas on October 26,
1923 and was a graduate of Saint Thomas Collegiate Institute. After
graduating at age 16 she intended to work briefly at Bell Canada
before attending university (at age 18). She instead would have
a long and fulfilling career as a supervisor with Bell Canada.
After taking time off to raise her family, she would work at
the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on switchboard and reception.
Numerous of her close and cherished Friends would come from her
workplaces and she was thankful to enjoy many of these Friendships
to the present. Betty had the good fortune to enjoy excellent
health for most of her life and one of her greatest joys and
pleasures was to be able to travel the world extensively with
family and Friends. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas
is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held
at Williams Funeral Home on Sunday March 2, 2008 at 2: 00 p.m.
with social hour to follow. Cremation has taken place, with a
future private interment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Flowers
gratefully declined, with remembrances to the Canadian Cancer

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie George
HUBERT on Sunday, June 1 at the age of 76. Born in Bexleyheath,
England on November 11, 1931, he immigrated to Canada at a young
age, arriving first in Nova Scotia and moving with his new bride
to London, Ontario in 1949, where he worked for Loblaws for more
than 30 years and took to his new home with enthusiasm, becoming
an avid photographer, golfer and outdoorsman, with a special
affection for Algonquin Park. Devoted husband to Arlene and father
to Gary, Penny (wife of Mike

Rick; proud grandfather to Heather, Diane, John, Steven, Nathan
and Trevor; and great-grandfather to Shawn. Survived by 2 sisters,

cousins in Canada and England. The family would like to express
its gratitude to Wayne Ball, Frank Dores, Bob Lamb, Butch Lucas,
Larry Shaw and Ken Twilley for their enduring Friendship and
support. A gathering for family and Leslie's Friends will be

(Dick) passed away at age 94 on Sunday,
June 29, 2008, at Sunnybrook Veterans Care Centre.
son of Richard
Arthur and Katherine Cullen
DALY. He attended Upper Canada College
and University of Toronto, University College and belonged to
Theta Delta Chi fraternity. During World War 2, Dick volunteered
and served as an officer overseas with the Kangaroos Armored
Personnel Carriers. After the war, he returned to Canada with
the love of his life, his French bride, Genvieve
HUBERT.
Dick
and Genvieve were married 62 years. After their marriage, he
joined R.A. Daly and Company as a stockbroker, executive, and later
served as president. Dick was an active member of the Timothy
Eaton Memorial Church, the Toronto Golf Club, the Granite Club,
the National Club, the Arts and Letters Club, the Ticker Club,
and the Ahmic Lake Golf Club. Dick spent summers with his family
at Ahmic Lake (Magnetawan), and enjoyed many winter vacations
in Florida at the Hillsboro Club and later Boca Grande. Dick
will be lovingly remembered by his wife Genevieve, his brother
Tom, and his sister Katherine

A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue
East) where a funeral will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at
10: 30 a.m., followed by a reception in the Leaside Room. A private
family burial will be held in Napanee, Ontario. Condolences and

Passed away with great courage in his 83rd year on Wednesday,
April 9th, 2008 at Seaforth Community Hospital. He will be sadly
missed by his family and Friends. Devoted father to his 4 daughters
Judy (Meaford), Sarah (Seaforth), Patricia (Walkerton) and Jane
(Florida). Survived by his wife Patricia. Proud grandfather of
Andrea and Kathryn who cherished their Papa. Also survived by

He was a proud Royal Canadian Air Force Veteran, he enlisted
at age 16 and trained in Manitoba as a wireless air gunner and
navigator. He graduated from the University of Guelph, (Ontario
Agricultural College-50), B.Sca. Poultry Husbandry. He was well
known across Middlesex and Huron Counties for his work with Ralston
Purina as District Sales Manager for almost 25 years. He then
lived out his dream, farming and racing horses in Seabringville
for 20 years. Retiring to Meaford. The last 7 years he has lived
in Seaforth making lots of Friends and acting as a "Pillar" of
Sarah's life. He will be remembered for his love of life, people,
politics, farming and horse racing. He was truly a magnanimous
human being as he spent a lifetime helping others. Cremation
has taken place. Interment of ashes will be in Egmondville. A Memorial
Service will be held for family and Friends to celebrate his
life on Friday, April 18th, 2008 at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian
Church,
Seaforth.
