LOHWINOW, Patricia (née CAMPBELL)
Patricia LOHWINOW, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Wednesday, January 9, 2008. She was 65.
Survived by husband Anthony "Tony" LOHWINOW, son Stephan LOHWINOW of Hanover, grandchildren Brandon and Alexandra LOHWINOW. Also survived by mother Mildred (née HODDER) CAMPBELL, sisters Shirley RUETZ and Kathleen (Gillen "Red") ECKENSWILLER, brother David (Susan) CAMPBELL, all of Hanover, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by father David "Bud" CAMPBELL.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 10 a.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at New Apostolic Church, Hanover. Rev. Martin ANTOINE officiated.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the New Apostolic Church Foreign Relief were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Deborah was born in George's Brook, Newfoundland on June 9, 1917 and passed away on Sunday April 20th, 2008 at University Hospital in London, Ontario in her 91st. year. Deborah is Pre-Deceased by her husband Eric, daughter Marilyn, son Carter, and Daughter-in-law Diane. Also by brothers: Bernard, Benjamin, Eric and Ralph PLOUGHMAN of Newfoundland, Edwin in U.S.A. and her sisters Doris (Warren) and Edna (Tipple.) Deborah is survived by her son Dale TAVERNER (the late Diane) and his family, Randy TAVERNER (Phyllis) and their family and daughter Valerie SMITH (Gordon) and their daughter. Also, she is survived by one brother, Colin PLOUGHMAN, Scotland and her sisters Dolly BENEDICT and Mae CORKUM in Nova Scotia, Effie HODDER in Newfoundland and Beulah FLORIO in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. A memorial service for Deborah will be held on Saturday April 26th, 2008, at 2 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's witnesses, 905 Medway Park Court, London, Ontario N6G 5C7. Peacefully, at night, surrounded by family on Thursday, February 21, 2008, "Alf" Alfred C. ROBERTS in his 74th year. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Barb, children Brenda, Rick and his wife Tanya and Bonnie. "Grandpa" to Shawn, Tyson, Lindsay and Raelyn, and great-grandfather of Cameron. Brother of Ronald ROBERTS and Ruth-Anne CRANDALL. Survived by his nieces and nephews. Also remembered by close family friend Karen HODGE. Alf worked for many years at Jones Packaging and is a dedicated member of A.A. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Monday, February 25, 2008, at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Brian McKAY officiating. Thank-you to the Victim Service Response Teams in Huron and Oxford Counties for all of your support. Thank-you to the staff at London Health Sciences Centre Trauma Unit for your compassionate care, especially Karen PIERRE, Lisa HARKNESS, Deb, Ashley and Macy. Thank-you to all who sent flowers, food, cards, or made donations. The support from the community has been incredible. Passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 2, 2008 at Ajax Pickering Hospital in his 87th year. Doug, beloved husband of the late Vera. Loving Dad of Graham (Judy,) Christine (Wayne) HODGSON and Gail (Shane) ARDIEL. Proud grandad of Ian (Carol Ann,) Paul (Darlene), Jennifer (Billy), Julie (Chris), Kyle, Brittany, Simone and Sydney. Cherished great-grandad of Charlotte and Peter, Emma, Hannah and Alexander. Doug will be sadly missed by all of his family and Friends. Doug was a retired teacher and owner/operator of children's daycare centres. Resting at the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home (Scarborough Chapel) 2900 Kingston Rd. ALLEN, John Patrick Brierley (1936-2008)
Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at the Ontario Institute for Education and the University of Toronto, died suddenly at his home in Toronto on March 26. Well known for developing the COLT classroom observation system, his books with Pit Corder on Chomsky, a series of textbooks for specialist purposes, and his work with the Aga Khan Foundation, Patrick is regarded with affection by his many students all over the world. He is much loved and will be missed by his family, his wife Marillene, sons John and Ben and their wives Jennifer and Amanda and his three grandchildren, Kate Olivia, Benjamin William and Evelyn Hyatt, and his sister Marilyn and brother-in-law Chris HODSON of Surrey, England, and their children. The funeral will be held at St. Clements Anglican Church, 59 Briar Hill Avenue on Wednesday, April 2nd at 11: 00 a.m. Friends may visit at the Trull North Toronto Funeral Home, 2704 Yonge Street on Tuesday, April 1 from 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. or 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision in Patrick's memory are requested.
