GRADY, Marion Louise
(Retired Employee of Toronto General Hospital)
Peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2008. Sister of Loretta HEBBES, Betty GRADY and the late William GRADY and Catherine ELWOOD. Sister-in-law of Alf HEBBES, Norman ELWOOD and the late Brenda GRADY. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, their spouses and families. Many thanks to the staff of Erin Mills Lodge for their wonderful care. Friends will be received at the Neweduk Funeral Home - "Mississauga Chapel", 1981 Dundas St. W., (1 block east of Erin Mills Pkwy.) from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, March 7, at 11: 30 a.m. followed by cremation. In memory of Marion, donations to Covenant House would be appreciated.

McGAHAN, Mary Jane Elizabeth (née HEBBLETHWAITE)
On Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Hospital in her 74th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Donald "Red" McGAHAN. Loving mother of Donald, Debbie, Karen, Mike, Shawn and Timothy. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Barb, George, Frances and Anne. Predeceased by her brothers Percy and Patrick and her daughter Jane. Mary will be sadly missed but always remembered by all who knew her. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit Department for their care and kindness. Friends are invited to join the family in honour of Mary on Saturday, April 5th at 1: 30 p.m. at the Rodney Legion.

Of Elgin Manor, on Friday June 27, 2008, passed away peacefully at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital in her 99th year. Wife of the late Emil SCHNEIDER (June 19, 1957.) Dearly loved mother of Irene and Vic POVILAITIS, the late Wanda HAYSUM (August 10, 1994,) Witold "Vic" and Nancy SCHNEIDER, the late Benno SCHNEIDER (May 8, 1984) and Helen STREET. Reinhard and Jane SCHNEIDER. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Meta KUDZEVCIENE in Lithuania. Grandmother of Edward and Diane POVILAITIS, Lorri and John PARON, Bruno and Penny HEBBLETHWAITE, Larry and Laurie FRANK, Rene and Chris MOSHER, Brian SCHNEIDER, Eric SCHNEIDER, Dean SCHNEIDER, Monica and Andrew MULDER, Jennifer SCHNEIDER, Andrew and Dawn SCHNEIDER and to 12 great-grandchildren. Erna was born in Lithuania, March 10, 1910 and immigrated to Canada, December 11, 1947. She and her husband and family settled just outside Rodney, where they grew tobacco. Erna was a member of Saint_John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aylmer. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service to celebrate Erna's life will be held Monday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Rodney Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital or the charity of one's choice.

SWEETZER, Ronald Edward
Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London on June 27, 2008 in his 89th year. He is survived by a son Richard and his wife Diane and two granddaughters. Also survived by sisters Mildred McINTYRE and Marion CLARKE. Also one brother Bruce and sister-in-law Noreen. There are many nieces and nephews surviving. Ronald is predeceased by his wife Eileen (2006) née HEBDEN. Predeceased by parents Edward and Clara SWEETZIR. Also predeceased by three sisters Doris, Donelda and Vernona and three brothers Gordon, Nelson and Ross. Ron spent 26 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and retired as a Flight Sergeant. Funeral Service to be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell) on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 3: 00 p.m. Visitation one hour prior. Memorial donations to Parkwood Hospital or charity of your choice would be appreciated.

CAVES, Jean (née SHEPHERD)
Of Smiths Falls and formerly of Saint Thomas, passed away on Saturday, June 28th, 2008, at the Broadview Nursing Home, Smiths Falls, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late John "Harry" CAVES and loved mother of the late Joanne (Wilbur) CAVES. She was the last of her family. Predeceased by 2 brothers Robert and Fred SHEPHERD and six sisters Pearl McDONALD, Mabel HEBEBRAND, Hazel McLEOD, Edna DUNLOP, Evelyn MILLS and Erie RACE. Loved grandmother of Stephen MATTHEWS, Danny MATTHEWS (Pearl), David MATTHEWS (Debbie), Brenda McARTHUR (late William.) Sadly missed by 8 great-grandchildren and 8 great, great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Jean was born in Saint Thomas on March 1st, 1917, the daughter of the late Robert and Eva (VAIL) SHEPHERD. She lived in Saint Thomas most of her life. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 11: 00-1:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.
