WATSON, Kathleen Joyce " Joy" (née TOZER)
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother, Joy, on Sunday, May 18, 2008 in her 85th year following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer and, more recently, Alzheimer's disease. Joy was predeceased in 1992 by her loving husband of fifty years, Bob. Devoted mother to Judy (Dave) LOVE, Donna (Gary) HAUGHTON and Sharon (Chris) ANDREW. She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren James, Kimberly, Robert (Jen), Leah (Wade), Jeffrey and Jennifer, as well as great-grandchildren Hunter and Pyper. During her life, Joy kept busy raising her family, curling at Avonlea, lunching with Friends and vacationing with Bob in Myrtle Beach. However, her greatest enjoyment came from spending every summer since 1954 with her family at the cottage on Haliburton Lake. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of West Oak Village for the care they gave to Mom these last few years. Cremation and private family burial will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.oakviewfuneral.ca.

WHITE/WHYTE, Patric Jon " Ric Chip"
I would like to take this time to say "Thank You". But a simple "Thank You" doesn't come close to expressing the gratitude I feel for all the support that I have received from family and Friends. It's in difficult times like these that we realize just how many Friends we have, and how much they really mean to us. Throughout his life, Ric has touched so many people with, his genuine smile, his laugh, his jokes, his stories, his generosity, and quick impulse to help anyone or any cause that came along. One of Ric's most important accomplishments in life was the many Friends he acquired along the way. The respect and final farewell that all of you gave him will never be forgotten. Just as I'm certain that Ric will never be forgotten, because there will always be a part of him in all our hearts. I would like to extend a special thank you to- Dennis and Sheila JOYCE, Renaye and Bernice MYERS, Joe SANTOS, Wayne HAUSER and Karen CURRAH, Gary BROOKS, Ted and Kathy JOHNSTON, Wayne HENDERSON, Pete and Gloria PALMER, Tracy TRUDELL, Kathy CRAWFORD, Christine McAULEY, Reverend J. WHITE/WHYTE, Bill DENNING, Saint Mary's Church, West Elgin Legion and everyone who brought food, sent flowers, sent cards and emails and telephoned. A very special thank you to Hostess Frito Lay and the person(s) who arranged for the "Chip Truck" to be at the church on the day of the funeral. It was a befitting tribute and goodbye to Ric "Chip", who took great pride in his job and who had fond attachments to everyone associated with it. From Branika Savic and the family of Ric "Chip" Whyte.
