Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Mrs. Karen L. WALSH of London in her 52nd year. Beloved wife of Jim. Dear mother of Matthew. Predeceased by her loving parents Ivan and Mary JONES. Beloved sister of Carole (Gord) MacKINNON, Darlene (Dan) LUNDY, Gary (Sharon) JONES, Sandy (Rick) SKINNER, Gloria (Ed) MacDONALD and her twin sister Kim (Pat) POLISAK. Daughter-in-law of Irene and the late Alex WALSH, and a special sister-in-law to Kaye (John) HAMIL and Donna HACHE. Very special aunt to Jay and Shawn and her other nieces and nephews. Karen was the past president of London Jaycettes and J.P. Robarts Home and School Association. Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas St. E. (at Wavell) on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be in the chapel on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in memory of Karen. At her home in Madison, Wisconsin, on Tuesday March 11, 2008, at the age of forty-six, Gelsy VERNA passed away. Devoted mother of Clara Alicia, beloved daughter of Clara (LANIER) and Joseph Marie VERNA (deceased March 15, 2008,) she will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters Henri-Donald, Josèfe Marie, Gaëtane (Gaétan HACHÉ,) Stéfan and Mahalia, her nieces and nephews Benjamin, Shabaka, Savannah, Perseus, Léontyne, Keegan, Edwige and Lydia and her many relatives, Friends and colleagues. At the Montreal General Hospital, on Saturday March 15, 2008, at the age of seventy-four, Doctor Joseph Marie VERNA passed away after a courageous battle against cancer. Beloved husband of Clara (LANIER,) devoted father of Henri-Donald, Josèfe Marie, Gaëtane (Gaétan HACHÉ,) Stéfan and Mahalia, and cherished grandfather of Benjamin, Shabaka, Savannah, Perseus, Léontyne, Clara Alicia, Keegan, Edwige and Lydia, he will be missed by many relatives, Friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his daughter Gelsy. Peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 02, 2008 in her 94th year. Widow of the late Earl R. PATTERSON, she returned in 1981 to the Hanover/Walkerton area after her husband's passing in 1974. Formerly she lived in Toronto and Brampton, devoting her life to her husband in support of his ideals and goals for the International Woodworkers of America and to her extended family. Luella was the daughter of the late James J. ELLIS and wife Elizabeth (née SACHS) ELLIS. Beloved wife of the late Earl R. PATTERSON. Dear mother of Marie FAELKER, Alan (Hanh) PATTERSON, and John (Christine) PATTERSON. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Fay FAELKER, Steven FAELKER, Sarah (Michael) HACKBUSCH; Beverley (Joe) PACHECO, Diane (Denis) ROCHETTE; Shawn (Sonja) PATTERSON, Mark PATTERSON and Paul PATTERSON. Great-grandchildren: Erik, Myles and Emily PATTERSON; Alyssa and Steven WEIR; Erica and Kelsey ROCHETTE; Shawna GAILITIS; Stephanie and Jessica FAELKER Aaron, Sebastian and Aiyana HACKBUSCH: and four great-great-grandchildren. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Scott Mission, Salvation Army or charity of one's choice were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dear father of Penny GALBRAITH, Glendon James and his wife Nancy, Cheryl-Lynn and her husband Ronald GALBRAITH, Katherine and her husband Vern DYER all of Owen Sound and Janice and her husband Jack SEAMAN of Annan. Sadly missed by seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Jean HACKETT of Barrie. He is survived by his beloved wife Doreen (BLACK) of 51 years and his children Judy and John HICKEY of Goderich, Linda and Ray McNICHOL of Listowel, Roger and Kendra MATTHEWS of Nile, Val and Henry VAN ROOY of Zurich, Lorie and Ken HURMAN of Durham. Also survived by his brothers and sisters Bernice DRENNAN, Lois and Raymond HAGGITT, Joyce and Larry BLACK, Gordon MATTHEWS and step-brother to Lorne HACKETT and Belle HACKETT. Dear sister of Domenic ALVARO of London, Sam and his wife Marie of Saint Thomas, Jimmy and his wife Piovena of Toronto, Carm McNEA of Saint Thomas, Rose BRADEN of Hamilton, Polly FRANK of Saint Thomas, Pat and her husband Jack DECANDIDO of London and Bill ALVARO of Saint Thomas. Predeceased by 3 sisters Mary DOLPHIN, Catherine "Grace" SPRUCE and Margarite ALVARO and by 2 brothers Frank and Joe ALVARO.
