Surrounded by most of her immediate family and treasured Friends,
Carole Anne
HICKS, in her 69th year, was ushered into Heaven
on Thursday, June 19 at 11: 30 p.m. from L.H.S.C. University Hospital.
We were able to pray with her, sing to her and say thank you
and good-bye. Carole had fought a brief but difficult battle
against numerous illnesses. She was a brave wife, mother, grandmother,
sister and friend. We are thankful that she no longer has to
fight but is now with her Heavenly family. Carole is lovingly
remembered by her husband Dave, her children Cam

After a courageous two year battle with cancer Gerry died peacefully
at home on Sunday, June 1, 2008. Loving husband of 40 years to
his soul mate and best friend Ria (Maria). Lovingly remembered
by his sister Dinemie (Willem) and brother Chris (Helga) and
all his nieces and nephews. Will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law,
sister-in-law and her family and his brother-in-law. Also will
be missed by his Friends Jean and Joe and their children to whom
he was a special 'uncle' and all other relatives, Friends and
acquaintances. Gerry had a passion for his work and was the proud
owner for 40 years of I.S.C. International. The family expresses
sincere appreciation to Doctor A.
ADESANYA and the nurses and staff
in the oncology clinic at the Trillium Health Centre and Doctor A.
BEZJAK at Princess Margaret Hospital. Their care, dedication
and treatment helped to extend Ger ry's life for two more meaningful
years. A gift which Ria and those around her cherished. Also
special thanks to Doctor A.
MacKINTOSH and our wonderful caring
nurse Mary for the compassion provided during Gerry's last weeks.
Friends may call at the Turner and Porter 'Peel' Chapel 2180 Hurontario
Street, Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of Queen Elizabeth Way) from 7-9 p.m.
on Wednesday. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday,
June 5, 2008 at 11am.. Private cremation to follow. For those
who wish, memorial donations to the Trillium Health Center-Oncology
Clinic would be appreciated.
