GULA, Faye
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Faye GULA, on January 16, 2008. Faye was the devoted wife of the late Willie GULA, her husband and true love of 62 years. She was an extraordinary mother and grandmother whose loss leaves an enormous void in the lives of her sons, Joel and Steven and their wives Esther and Gillian. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Lauren, Ben, Michelle, and Susan who lit up her life and gave her a never ending sense of joy. Many thanks to her nieces, nephews and caregivers, who made sure she knew how loved she was in her final years. Faye brought light, laughter and love beyond imagining to our lives. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin) for service on Friday, January 18th at 11: 30 a.m. Interment Court Topaz section of Bathurst Lawn Memorial Park. MacPHERSON, James (September 10, 1920-July 16, 2008)
Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital's Veterans' Wing after a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 60 years Dorothy (BOOTH,) daughters Carol, Patricia (Peter BALL) and Barbara (Ed GULBINAS) and his granddaughter Charlotte. Loving brother to Isabelle MacPHERSON and Marilyn GEORGE (Stanley.) He was pre-deceased by his brothers Robert and Donald and his sister Elizabeth McCULLOUGH. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Peggy and Barbara and his brother-in-law John BOOTH (Jeanne.) He was a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families. Jim devoted his working life to insurance as an underwriter and manager. He was an elder and trustee of Willowdale Presbyterian Church for many decades. The family is deeply grateful to all the staff for the thoughtful care he received while at Sunnybrook. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will take place on Saturday July 19 at 11 a.m. at Willowdale Presbyterian Church (38 Ellerslie Avenue, Toronto). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Evangel Hall (552 Adelaide Street West, Toronto, M5V 3W8) or the charity of your choice.

Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Hugo PUTIKS of London in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Zelma PUTIKS. Dear father of Anita LOW/LOWE/LOUGH and her husband Jack of London. Predeceased by his sister Emily GULBIS. Caring grandfather of Andrea WILKINSON and her husband Gregg of Ailsa Craig and Heather RETTBERG and her husband Dave of Evansville, Indiana and his great-granddaughters Ashley and Danielle WILKINSON. A private family funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Friday, July 25th. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury, on Friday, July 18, 2008, Grace K. ANDERSON- OKE of Newbury in her 79th year. Predeceased by her husbands, David J. ANDERSON (1990) and Malcolm OKE (2001.) Dear mother of Lynn ANDERSON and Mike KEATING of Saint Thomas, Ann and Douglas BENNIE of Saint Thomas, Mary and Andre VANDER GULIK of Glencoe and the late Jim ANDERSON (2000.) Dear grandmother of Jennifer and Jim BENNIE, Nicholas and Nathan VANDER GULIK. Also survived by her brother, James M. CHAPLOW (Kathryn.) Dear step-mother of Sheila and John TIERNEY, Paul and Lucille OKE, late Laura and Dan WELCH, Authur OKE. Several step grandchildren also survive. Grace graduated in 1950 from the School of Nursing at the Memorial Hospital in Saint Thomas and enjoyed many years in her profession. She retired from Four Counties Health Services, Newbury as Director of Nursing. She was a Life member of Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital and Four Counties Health Services Auxiliary. Relatives and Friends will be received at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Four Counties Health Services Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

Surrounded by her loving family after a brave battle with her illness, Debra PARTLO passed away peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 16, 2008, in her 55th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Max PARTLO (2003,) and mother Dorothy LAMB (1982.) Wonderful mother and mentor to her children Shannon SCHNEKENBURGER and Roy of Aylmer, Derek PARTLO and his wife Jody of Tillsonburg and Courtney MORSE and her husband Andrew of Straffordville. Proud "Nana" of Maxx and Hilton SCHNEKENBURGER and Landon, Logan and McKenna PARTLO. Loving daughter of Sam LAMB and his friend MaryAnne VANGEERTRUYDE of Tillsonburg. Dear sister of Terry LAMB and his wife Pat; Dan LAMB; Kelly SPRINGER and her husband Dale all of Tillsonburg. Sister-in-law of Art PARTLO and his wife Marion, Barb GULL and the late David, Sharon COULTER and her husband Bob, David PARTLO and his partner Sharon DEPAUW. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother-in-law Helen PARTLO (2002.) Deb will be forever remembered as a devoted mother who taught strong and independent values to her family. She was an original member of the Sockette baseball team, where she enjoyed some of the best years of her life. Deb will be deeply missed by all of her Friends. Family and Friends will be received at Ostrander's Funeral Home, Tillsonburg, (519) 842-5221, on Sunday, February 17, 2008 from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and on Monday, February 18, 2008 from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service for Debra will be held at Saint Paul's United Church, Tillsonburg on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. with Rev. Glenn BAKER and Rev. Tom HISCOCK officiating. Interment in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Passed away peacefully, at General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, in his 91st year. Born in Rob Roy, son of the late Joseph and Cicely. Beloved husband for 68 years of Isabelle (POTTS.) Loving father of Elaine and her husband Robert BUCHANAN of Clarksburg, Gail and her husband John PLATER of Sarnia. Sadly missed by grandchildren Tim (Jennifer) PLATER, Ian (Kelli) PLATER, Cindy (Jeff) GULMOR, Scott (Tammy) BUCHANAN and Lana (Matthew) COOK and nine great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Lloyd (Marie) FREETHY and sister-in-law Margery FREETHY and the late Helen SHARPE, Pearl McFADGEN, brother Kaye and two brothers in infancy.
