in his sleep Sunday night, April 20, 2008. Born in Toronto, Canada,
to Stephen and Sadie Pindur
PISNI on June 8, 1931, Steve went
to New York in 1959 as a ticket agent for Air Canada. He remained
with Air Canada in increasingly responsible positions, including
Midwest Regional Sales Manager from 1967 until 1969, and retired
as Public Relations Manager, Eastern United States, in 1982.
He then founded his own public relations firm, Stephen A. Pisni
Public Relations, with Air Canada as his main client, and retired
finally in 1996. A longtime associate member of the Society of
American Travel Writers, he received two presidential awards
from the Society. Steve was also a lover of opera, operetta (especially
Hungarian operetta), music in general and show business. He is
mourned by his life partner, Jerry
