JAY, Betty (née FRY)
Passed away peacefully at Lee Manor on Saturday, February 23, 2008. Betty JAY (née FRY) formerly of London and Chatham in her 87th year. Betty was the daughter of the late James and Ethel FRY of Tottenham. Beloved wife of the late Vernon (Bud) JAY. Dear mother of Jim (Debbie) JAY of London, Judy (George) MacKIMMIE of Thorold and Janice (ROSS) COOKE of Owen Sound. She will be sadly missed by seven grandchildren, one great-grand_son, sister Audrey MANDER of London and brother Harold (Joy) FRY of Wiarton. Predeceased by brother Vernor FRY of Bolton. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in London at a later date. Interment Woodland Cemetery, London. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 519-371-8507.

BURROWS, Emma Jean (née TIFFIN)
Of Wallaceburg and formerly of Tupperville, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in her 92nd year. Jean is the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Carrie Elfleda FRY) TIFFIN and beloved wife of the late Edward Grant Catherall BURROWS (1958.) Loving mother and mother-in-law of Lee and Barb BURROWS of Dresden and Gail and Bill WATSON of Wallaceburg. Dear grandmother of Richard, Tom and Bill BURROWS, Mike, Patrick and Lee-Ann WATSON and families. Great-grandmother of Justin, Holly, Ashley and Cody BURROWS, Amanda, Ben, Kyle and Wade WATSON and great-great-grandmother of Hayley-Marie BURROWS. Sister of Helen and Bruce MURRAY and Elsie and the late Harry McRAE. Jean loved oil painting, taught art at Walpole Island First Nations, volunteered at the Museum and La Point-Fisher nursing home, was a member of the Trinity United Church Women, life member of the Eastern Star and founding member of the Snye Patriotic League. Friends may call at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street (at Elgin) in Wallaceburg from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church on Friday, July 25 at 1: 30 p.m. The interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery. If desired, remembrances to Fairfield Memorial Gardens or the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Magnetic Resonance Imager Campaign may be left at the funeral home 519-627-3231. At University Hospital on July 3, 2008. Hazel OLIVER in her 90th year. Predeceased by her devoted friend Forbes (Art) FRYDAY (2006,) by her parents Cecil and Elizabeth BEACHAM, and by her brothers Raymond, Charles, and Stanley. Survived by brothers Elmer BEACHAM, Clarence BEACHAM, and sisters Louella (Dolly) ARMES, Reta HUNTER, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East, London (at Wavell) from 11 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. with Pastor Janet ANSTEAD officiating. A reception to follow. Family interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Suddenly as the result of an accident on Sunday, March 23, 2008. “Bill” ALJOE of Hanover, formerly of Durham in his 81st year. Husband of the late Isabelle (née STODDART.) Loved father of Gregory (Virginia WATTS) of Waterloo and Milford Bay, Suzanne (Gerald) of Owen Sound and Michele DOUCET of Waterloo. Sadly missed by grandchildren Michael and Krista KARN, Steven and Lori KARN, Stacey and Jeff GOLDIE, 5 great-grandchildren and sisters Evelyn PATTERSON, Helen SMITH and Ada (Harry) STYLES all of Durham, Beatrice (Hartmut) RIDDERBUSCH and Sharon BURGESS all of Hanover, Lorna (William) ZADUK of Guelph, and Doreen FRYER and Norma BARRETT both of Collingwood. Predeceased by three children Carol, James and Mary and brothers Vernon, Arthur and Murray. The family will receive Friends at the Fawcett-McEachern Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Durham on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Durham at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Durham Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

REID, Shirley
Thank You - We would like to thank our Friends and families for all the support given to us during the illness and passing of Shirley REID. You do not realize how many lives are touched by one person it seems until they are gone, and Shirley certainly touched many. We are all thankful to have been part of that. A special Thank You goes out to Jimmy and Ruby McGOOGAN two truly wonderful Friends who where there every step of the way with us, and Shirley. Anne REARCE- DAVIDSON (Granny Annie) your support for Shirley will never be forgotten, we are honoured to have you as part of our family. To the health care workers in our community, the Dialysis team at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital are second to none, they are truly Gods Angels on earth. Deb MORRISON who went over and above, to Doctor LOW/LOWE/LOUGH and staff for your sincere professionalism. The community support at Huron Meadows, outstanding. Tracey FRYER and Angela STEPHENSON we are still in awe of how caring and gentle you are and can not stress enough how you made Shirley's final journey end with the dignity she deserved.
