LACEY, Rita H.
Peacefully with family, on Wednesday April 23rd, 2008 at the North York General Hospital, in her 86th year. Rita is survived by her beloved brother Bishop Pearse LACEY and predeceased by her brothers Fr. Emmett LACEY and Leonard LACEY and sisters: Eileen WEATHERHEAD, Theresa LAURIA and Sr. Mary LACEY, IBVM. Rita will be missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces: Joan NICHOLSON (Jack), Tone DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS (David), Mary FOELL (Greg) and nephews: Michael WEATHERHEAD (Eugenia,) Emmet WEATHERHEAD (Mary,) Wayne WEATHERHEAD (Teresa), Frank LAURIA (Sandra), Peter LAURIA and Leonard LACEY (Bernadette) as well as great-nieces and great-nephews and their families and Friends. Rita was employed with the Toronto Chapter - Knights of Columbus as office manager for over 40 years. She also served in a number of other capacities including the Annual Convention, The Columbus Boy's Camp (Lake Simcoe) and numerous entertainment and fundraising activities. She was an active member of the Daughter's of Isabella and the Catholic Women's League. Friends may call on Saturday, April 26, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday April 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Avenue), on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, flowers or donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Condolences - 'Rita always gave graciously of her time and love to all members of her family.' At Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, on Saturday, June 14th, 2008 at the age of 81 years, the former Betty FRIAR of Paisley. Wife of the late Bill CALDWELL. Mother of Lynn and his wife Marguerite, Garry and his wife Ila, all of Paisley, Lloyd and his wife Diana of Chatsworth and Grace and her husband Jim BIRRELL of Pinkerton. Grandmother of eleven grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren. Sister of Jim FRIAR and his wife Ruby of Paisley. She is predeceased by infant sons James and Robert, one sister and three brothers. Friends may call at the Immanuel Missionary Church, 307 Balaclava Street, Paisley from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17th, at 11: 00 a.m. with Pastor Dave ILLMAN and Pastors Dennis and Barb FOERSTER officiating.
