Dear mother of Stephen NEWMAN and his wife Laura of London, Wendy NEWMAN of Guelph and Mark NEWMAN and his partner Claudia FAVA of Verona, Italy. Dear sister of Marion THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and her husband Cliff of Nottingham, England. Loved grandmother of Matthew, Sarah, Mitchell and Nicholas NEWMAN. Also survived by her cousins Jo WARD of State College, Pennsylvania and Don and Barbara PAINE of South Carolina. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street S., London (519-433-5184) on Tuesday April 15, 2008 after 2: 00 p.m. where a memorial service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday at 3: 00 p.m. with Pastor Lin ALBRECHT officiating. At home on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 Jean Marie FAVALARO, wife of David FAVALARO, passed away in her 60th year. Beloved mother of Anna Lisa TERPSTRA (John,) Angela LUNN (George) and Christina FAVALARO. Grandmother of William, Theresa, Anthony, Jasmine and Isabelle. Cherished daughter of Frances and the late Frank RODAK of Strathroy. Dear sister of Christine HAMLIN of Appin, Regina CHECUTTI of Chatham and Edward RODAK (Carol) of Denfield. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday afternoon at 3: 30 o'clock. Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday June 2, 2008 Frances RODAK of Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Frank RODAK (1995.) Dear mother of Christine HAMLIN and Wayne MAIER of Appin, Regina CETCUTI of Chatham and Edward and Carol RODAK of Denfield. Also survived by her grandchildren Lauralee DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS, Robert HAMLIN, Anna Lisa TERPSTRA, Angela LUNN, Christina FAVALARO, and Jason and Jeffery RODAK and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Jean FAVALARO (2008) and a granddaughter Theresa Ann MILLS (1990.) Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Tuesday June 3rd from 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Wednesday June 4th at 11: 00 a.m. Father Lucio COUTO Celebrant. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Frances.

Peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Playford (HALES) SMITH (11/2003.) Loving father of Catherine BARLEY (Geoff) of Midland (formerly of Toronto,) Judith HOWARD (Graham) of Manotick, Brock SMITH (Pat) of Ennotville and Derek SMITH of Fergus. Dear grandfather of Erin, Colin (Maria,) and their son, Liam BARLEY Kate BARLEY; Sarah HOWARD (Tommy FERRIS), Jonathan and Mary HOWARD Roxanne FAVERO, Rich and Rogie GOODCHILD. Dear brother of Audrey McINTOSH (David) of Summerland, British Columbia and the late Donald and Kenneth SMITH. Maurice was a veteran of World War 2 serving as a radar technician with 436 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force; speaker for the Dominion Institute Memory Project; retired professor of Apiculture, University of Guelph. His profession led him and his wife of 55 years to France, Kenya, Colombia and Peru. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren at the family cottage at Stoney Lake.
Friends may call at the Gilchrist Chapel - McIntyre and Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday). Complete funeral service will be held at Harcourt Memorial United Church, 87 Dean Avenue, Guelph on Friday, June 20 at 11: 00 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 a.m. and the Rev. Monica MOORE officiating. Cremation with inurnment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations to Harcourt Memorial United Church or to the University of Guelph Arboretum would be appreciated.
