Born in Manitowaning on November 2, 1909 to Matilda (née
McMURRAY) and Henry
McMULLEN.
She has been a resident of Sandfield since 1947. She has always
been very active in her community, an ardent church supporter, a long
time member of Sandfield Women's Institute, and the Tehkummah Senior
Triangle Club. Ethel loved going to Bingo. She had many talents,
quilting, knitting, sewing, gardening, crocheting, and cooking. Ethel
enjoyed several trips, seeing the east and west coast, Florida, Edmonton,
and other points in Saskatchewan. Cherished husband William James

Stan was the Charter President and Life Member of the Canadian
Fire Safety Association; Life Member of the National Fire Protection
Association; Member for Life of the Society of Fire Protection
Engineers. He was the founding Coordinator, Fire Protection Technology,
Seneca College.
During World War 2, Stan served in General Montgomery's 8th Army
in the North African, Sicilian, and Italian Campaigns in the
Lanark and Renfrew (42nd) Scottish Regiment; then Hastings and Prince
Edward Regiment. He was a Sergeant in the Corps of Military Staff
Clerks, and served in 2nd Echelon, Canadian Mediterranean Forces
Headquarters, A.F.H.Q.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 31 from 6-9 p.m. at the
R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, Toronto. Service to
be held on Friday, February 1 at 11 a.m. at Timothy Eaton Memorial
Church, 230 St. Clair Avenue West. A reception will be held at

on May 20th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 52.
Glen was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised in Don Mills. He
attended York University, and settled in Toronto until moving
to Oakville, Ontario in 1989. He spent his entire career in banking,
with Bank of Montreal, NatWest Bank and
TD Securities. Glen loved
life and spent much time on the golf course, squash and tennis
courts. His love of travel and of life in general resulted in
countless Friends. He was an amazing son, husband, cousin, friend
and colleague to many people. A celebration of Glen's life will
be held at Saint_Jude's Anglican Church (160 William Street, Oakville,
Ontario L6J 1C5) on Friday, May 23rd, 2008, at 9: 30 a.m. In lieu
of flowers, if Friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made
directly to Princess Margaret Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death
of the beloved husband of Helen Alexiade
O'GRADY and cherished
father of James (Jamey)
O'GRADY.
His devotion to our small family
was surpassed only by his generous spirit which will always be
with us. Jim was loved and respected as a brother by Colleen
(Lawrence DUMVILLE), Faye (Don
KUIAK) and Ken (Marlene
BINNIE).
He was pre-deceased by his parents Mary
REDMOND and Harold and
by his brother Terry. He was loved as a brother-in-law by Maria
and Tasso KARKAZIS,

and as an uncle to many from Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia
and California. Born in Timmins, Ontario in 1936, Jim grew up
in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. He was both a star athlete and an outstanding
student in his youth, winning the All-Ontario Midget AAA
Championship with the Noranda Toilers in 1951-52. He enjoyed
full scholarships to Queen's University, Arts '57 and Law '61 and
was awarded a Viscount Bennett Scholarship to The Harvard Law
School (LL.M. '63). Before starting his legal practice, Jim was
the Special Assistant to the Solicitor General of Canada, the
Honourable Larry Pennel. For 46 years he practiced law in Ottawa
with Solway, Wright, Houston, Greenberg, O'Grady and Morin and
O'Grady and Associate. At the time of his death he was practicing
with the firm of Burke-Robertson. In 1998 he was elected a Fellow
of The American College of Trial Lawyers. His career as a lawyer
was characterized by the highest standards of professionalism,
respect for those in need and unwavering dedication to his chosen
profession. His service to the community included the office
of President of the Consumer's Association of Canada and a member
of the Executive Committee of the International Organization
of Consumer's Unions. He was a member of the International Ice
Hockey Federation Board of Arbitration. Jim's love of hockey
was legendary including over 15 years as a coach in the Nepean
Minor Hockey Association and a lifetime of preparation for the
National Hockey League. Friends are invited to visit at the Central
Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa
on Thursday, May 22, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral
Mass will be held at Notre Dame Cathedral, Sussex at St. Patrick
on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment to follow at
