DOTY, Marion (née ROBSON)
On Monday March 10, 2008 af ter a brief illness at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre. Sadly missed by Edward, her husband of 61 years. Loving mother to Elinor DOTY (Wayne SCULLION) and Anne WRIGHT, devoted grandmother to Ian and Nicholas WRIGHT, caring auntie to Joan, Tony, Matthew and Adam D'ANDREA. Marion came to Toronto from Leamington, Ontario to attend the Saint_Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1942. She worked in occupational health throughout her life. She touched many people with her kindness and generosity and was loving and supportive right up to the end. She will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew her. Friends may call at the Trull Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south of Lawrence) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Private family interment at Saint_Jude's Cemetery, Oakville. If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre.

REID, Harvey McGregor, B.A. Sc.
Passed away quietly at home on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 a day short of his 91st birthday. Born March 19, 1917 in Ottawa, he spent most of his life in Toronto, Ottawa and Stroud, Ontario. Harvey received his education at the University of Toronto and after graduating in Electrical Engineering in 1940 he joined Ontario Hydro. He was a licensed Ham Radio operator at the time. As a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force he was involved with a special radar unit attached to the Royal Marines during World War 2. He continued working at Ontario Hydro after the war and then joined Motorola where he spent the rest of his career and retired to Stroud, Ontario with his wife Dorothy (predeceased). Harvey will be lovingly remembered by his family, son Doctor Lloyd REID and wife Lynda, son James REID, daughter Catherine DOTY and husband Lance, daughter Susan RICHES and husband Jeff. He cherished his grandchildren Heather PAPADOGIANIS, Ken REID, Suzanne EAGLESON, Ian DOTY, Emily DOTY, Alan RICHES and Mark RICHES and great-grandchildren Bronwyn, Elise and Katie PAPADOGIANIS, and Kassidy and Hunter EAGLESON. Friends will be received at the Sherrin Funeral Home 873 Kingston Road Toronto (west of Victoria Park) 416-698-2861 on Thursday March 27, 2008 from 12: 30-1:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to your favorite charity would be appreciated.

At the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre, Owen Sound, on Friday July 4, 2008. Shirley HELWIG of Southampton in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Russell HELWIG. Loving mother of Theresa and her husband Elmer STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Southampton, Wendy WOODWARD of Port Elgin, Debra and her husband Tom UNDERWOOD, of Port Elgin and Peter DOTZENROTH and his wife Barbara of Oshawa. Proud and loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings, Betty HEARN, Lois KNOWLES, and Art KNECHTEL. Predeceased by her parents Clayton and Bernice KNECHTEL. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. Creamtion. Interment of Ashes in Southampton Cemetery, at a later date. Expressions of Remembrance may be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Charity of your Choice.
