VAN DOP, Gerrit Peter " Gary"
Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on March 6, 2008, after a short battle with cancer in his 80th year. Born in Hoek van Holland, the youngest of 12 siblings, he came to Canada following the end of World War 2, and had a great passion for his adopted country. Predeceased by his beloved wife Tiene, he will be deeply missed by his daughter Joyce VAN DOP, her husband Al DUNDAS, his son Christopher, his wife Leslie COPP, and his three grandchildren: Benjamin DUNDAS, Emily and Peter VAN DOP. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 15th, 2 p.m. at the Gilbert MacIntyre and son Funeral Home, "Hart" Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. Cremation has taken place. In appreciation of Gerrit's love of the outdoors, we invite donations to the Bruce Trail in his memory (Cards are available at the funeral home 519-821-5077 or send condolences at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com).

At the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Marian Ruth SAWTELL (née PEIRCE) of Woodstock. Beloved wife of the late R.E. "Bill" SAWTELL (2001.) Dear father of Mary COOK and her husband John, Dawn ROWELL and her husband John and Anne SAWTELL and her husband Robert WATSON all of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Aveleigh COOK, Elizabeth ERB (Trevor), Susan TURKALJ (Vince), Mary Catherine BAKER (Shaun), Christine ROWELL (Eric DOPF) and great-grandmother of Nicholas ERB, Brooke and Mathew TURKALJ. Predeceased by a daughter Aveleigh Ann, by her parents W.H. "Cap" and Hattie PEIRCE and by her sister Helen HOWARD. Marian was a charter member of the Y's Menettes Club, a member of the Woodstock Oxford Women's Probus Club, had worked with the Women's Committee of the Woodstock Art Gallery and was a member of Central United Church. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. John FURRY officiating. Interment later in the Baptist Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. In Southampton on Saturday January 5, 2008. Jack SALMON of Southampton in his 78th year. Retired O.P.P. officer with 31 years of service. Beloved husband of Kathleen for 55 years. Loving father of Steven of Southampton, Mark of Nova Scotia, Gregory of Southampton, and Scott and his wife Cheryl of Orangeville. Pappy will always be loved and remembered by his grandchildren. Survived by his brother Tom SALMON of Toronto. Predeceased by his sister Shirley DOPP, and by his brother William SALMON. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Saint_Joseph's Catholic Church, Port Elgin, on Wednesday January 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment of Ashes at St. Patrick's Cemetery, at a later date. Peacefully went to Our Lord Saturday morning January 5, 2008 at Gateway Haven in Wiarton. The former Liberta HAHN of Sauble Beach in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Michael SATTLER. Loving mother of John (Faye) SATTLER of Utterson, Betty (Dano) MURPHY of Hepworth and Bob (Marilyn) SATTLER of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren; Ian, Lori (Mark), David, Michael (Lisa), Kathy (Paul), Randy, Bobbi-Jo (Jay), and Steven (Savanah) and seven great-grandchildren; Jessica, Jacob, Matthew, Mitchell, Nicole, Kallie and Sarah. Caring sister of Florence (Vince) DOPP, Delilah (Clare) BRENNER, Claude HAHN, Rosie SCHMIDT, Lorraine DEGAN, Rita KENNEDY and Mary CLAYFIELD, and her sisters-in-law Rose HAHN and Bernice HAHN as well as all her nephews, nieces and Friends.
