At Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Wednesday May 28, 2008. Evelyn Mae (DOAK) TOVENATI of Goderich in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Peter TOVENATI. Loving mother of David (Pat) WILKINSON of Colborne Twp., Shirley (Robert) DINSMORE of Seaforth, William (Mary) WILKINSON of Detroit. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her first husband James Arthur WILKINSON. Friends will be received at McCallum and Palla Funeral, Cambria Rd, at East St. Goderich on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich on Saturday May 31st, 2008 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment Maitland Cemetery. ROSS, Archie
Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Tuesday, February 12th, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 64th year. Loved son of the late Thomas and Hazel Jean (DOAN) ROSS and dear brother of Jean and her husband Bob POWERS and Morris ROSS. Archie was born in Saint Thomas on September 27th, 1944. He was a caretaker at Union Cemetery and a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in Union Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

TOTTEN, Osborne Ross " Sonny"
With great sadness, the family advises of the passing of Osborne Ross (Sonny) TOTTEN of London, peacefully at Parkwood Veterans Hospital on Wednesday, March 5th, 2008. Predeceased by his beloved wife Vivian (née DOAN) and his sisters Margaret HARPER of Ottawa and Madeline HAINSTOCK of Vancouver. Father of Ross and Joan TOTTEN of London, Bill TOTTEN of Edmonton, and special friend of Dianne DRISCOLL and her husband Jim of Kelowna, British Columbia. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family. Born in Forest, Ontario on December 11th, 1914, he loved his country and served it with distinction in World War 2. After the war Sonny served with the federal Department of Agriculture and went on to be a successful Insurance agent and businessman in Forest. Sonny's passing will leave a void in the lives of many who were touched by his kindness and generosity. Sonny was a past Mayor of Forest; past president and life member of the Forest Legion, Br. #176 and past president of the Forest Rotary club as well as coach and supporter of many sports teams in the Forest area. The family wishes to extend their extreme gratitude to the staff of Parkwood Hospital for their caring and devotion to dad, especially in the past few weeks. A celebration of life will be held at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at Parkwood Hospital (please use parking lot #3), 801 Commissioners Rd. East, London, Ontario, on Friday March 7th, 2008 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Darrell SHAULE officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (2-3 p.m.). Private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Veteran's Care Fund, c/o St Joseph's Health Care Foundation, or to a charity of your choice. DOAN, Doris Elva (née SAYLOR)
75, of Tavistock passed away in the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, March 6, 2008. She was born in Mosa Township, Middlesex County on March 15, 1932 a daughter of the late Isaac Roy SAYLOR and the former Elva Mae TUNKS. Doris was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Stratford; was a Past President of Women's Aglow and had been a long time volunteer at the House of Blessing and L'Arche in Stratford. She married Donald Percy DOAN at Bothwell on July 1, 1950. He predeceased her on September 22, 2000. She was also predeceased by her son, Paul DOAN. Doris is survived by two sons, David DOAN and Suzanne BROADBENT of Mississauga, Tim and wife Janie DOAN of Tavistock; two daughters, Joanne VERSTEEG and Chuck DRENNAN of Woodstock, Wendy and husband Ed BISSADA of Toronto five grandchildren, Raymond VERSTEEG, Ted BISSADA, Will BISSADA, Kate DOAN and Liam DOAN; one great-grand_son, Braden WALTHAM one brother, Ken and wife Linda SAYLOR of Bothwell; two sisters Betty McMILLAN of Tavistock, Bev and husband Clive HAMILTON of Sarnia; sisters-in-law, Edna RINGROSE of Kenora, Donna ADAM/ADAMS of LaGrange, Georgia and Helen DOAN of Saint Thomas. Besides her husband, son and parents she was predeceased by her brother, Donald SAYLOR; her sisters-in-law, Shirley SAYLOR- McMASTER and brothers-in-law, Don McMILLAN, Joe McMASTER, Ted RINGROSE, Wes DOAN, and Pete ADAM/ADAMS. Relatives and Friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Bethel Pentecostal Church, 2988 Ontario Street, Stratford on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 1: 30 p.m. Pastor Charles SWARTWOOD will officiate. Interment in South Easthope Cemetery, Shakespeare. BLOIS, William " Willie" Alexander
Suddenly, with his family by his side, on Friday, May 9, 2008, William (Willie) Alexander BLOIS "Willie Lee", in his 57th year, went to be with the Lord. He will be sadly missed by his wife Donna. Beloved son of Rita and the late William BLOIS (1977.) He will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters; Anne (Ken) DOAN, Bob (Denise,) Kevin (Dale,) Tom (Nancy,) Mike, Larry (Pam,) Susan (Ian) JONES and Tony (Lisa.) Father of Katie HOFFMAN. Loving grandfather of Casidy, Buddy, Colton, Michael, Tyler and Grace. Dear step-father of Mike (Erin) KORPI and Cathy KORPI. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Daughter of Maria and Antonio PINTO. Sister of Luis PINTO and his wife Celeste and the late Nelson PINTO. Aunt of Madison, Ethan, Luke, Emma and Kaitlyn. Daughter-in-law of Lorna BENSON and the late Jerry BENSON and Diane FARSTAD and her husband John. Sister-in-law of Loren DOAN and his wife Shanna, Lacy BENSON, Billy BENSON and the late Logan BENSON. Visitation will be held in the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Saturday, June 14 from 9: 00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. when Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Strathroy. DOAN, Arthur " Bruce"
Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Saturday, July 19th, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Winnie Ann (ROSS) DOAN and dearly loved father of Michele Ann and her husband Dave FOWLER of Saint Thomas, Beverley Elizabeth and her husband John PARKER of Saint Thomas and the late Michael Bruce DOAN (1971.) Dear brother of and John "Warren" DOAN and his wife Mary Jane of Saint Thomas and the late Marion Helen SINCLAIR and Maxwell "Max" DOAN. Loved grandfather of Chad (Lori) and Ben (Natalie FOWLER, Andrew PARKER (friend Sarah HIRST) and the late Michael and Matthew PARKER. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Bruce was born in Yarmouth Township on May 2nd, 1923, the son of the late Hugo Felker and Alice Irene (MITCHELL) DOAN. He spent all his life in Saint Thomas except for 2 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force Bruce was a retired probation officer, a member of St. Hilda's-St. Luke's Anglican Church, a Flight Officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force, a 15 year member of the Elgin Regiment (Lt. Col.), a former member of the Yarmouth #2 Fire Department, a member of the Association for Community Living, the Elgin Military Museum, and the Golden "K" Kiwanis Club and the Saint Thomas Curling Club. A service to celebrate Bruce's life will be held Saturday, July 26th at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Hilda's-St. Luke's Anglican Church (Elm Street,). Saint Thomas. Rev. Pat BYRNE officiating. Entombment of the ashes in South Park Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. Hilda's-St Luke's Anglican Church or the Alzheimer Society of Elgin. Visitation at the church Saturday from 10: 00-11:00 a.m.
