POLLARD, May Elizabeth (née ROCHE) (1911-2008)
Passed from death unto life at Riverbend Place, Cambridge, Ontario. On Sunday, February 24, 2008. Beloved wife of the late George POLLARD (2006.) Beloved mother of Brian (Gail) Ibiza, Spain, Judith (Rev. John SMITH) Hamilton, Ontario. Janice (Robert ROWE) Kingston, Ontario. Survived by her sister Mabel REILLY of Oshawa, her sister-in-law Bessie POLLARD of Preston and many nieces and nephews. Grandmother and great-grandmother of Nieves POLLARD, (Gaston DEZA,) and their daughter Jazmin, of Ibiza, Spain, Hayley Smith POST (Isaac) of Washington, D.C., Drew SMITH (Hamilton,) Jock SMITH (Hamilton), Travis (Susan) ROWE and their sons Miles and Everett of Belleville, Ben (Colleen) ROWE and their daughters Peyton and Katie of Belleville, Olivia Rowe OVENS (Jeff) of Kingston. May was a lifelong member of King Street Baptist Church in Preston, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cobourg for many years. Our Mom and Grandma will be greatly missed. Donations may be made to Riverbend Place, 650 Coronation Blvd., Cambridge, Ontario. N1R 7S6. Funeral Services will be held at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.

Peacefully, on February 12, 2008, Mrs. C. Irene SHAVER of London, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Arnold C. SHAVER (1988.) Loving mother of Arlene and her husband Ray DEZIEL and Gail and her husband Bill HAYTER of Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Clarke FERRIS and his wife Eleanor, Jeff FERRIS and his wife Robin, Tammy and Chris ARNOT, Jason HAYTER and Shaun HAYTER and five step grandchildren. Great-grandmother of Jami, Jill, Trent, Troy, Stephanie and Aliesha. Predeceased by her brothers Gordon and Robert MITCHELL. Friends may call at the Lloyd R. Needham Funeral Chapel, (520 Dundas Street, London) on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday 1-3 p.m. where the funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, February 15th, 2008, at 3: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In memory of Irene, contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 1, 2008. Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years Zygmunt, her sister-in-law Aniela DEZOR of Poland, and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States, and Poland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Centre, (416)-423-1000. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North York General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Of Keady, passed away at Grey-Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Monday, January 7, 2008. She was 49. Born in Walkerton, daughter of the late George and Jessie (née MARSHALL) JANTZEN. Survived by loving husband Graham “Bruce” WALDO, sisters Eleanor WATSON of Guelph, Gladys (Walter) LEMATRIE of Neustadt, Evelyn (Bob) PEARCE of Paisley, Mary LEMATRIE of Elmira, Gail ROBERTSON of Owen Sound and Colleen (Lloyd) DEZUEEW of London, brothers Frank (Kathy) JANTZEN of Kitchener, Reg (Dawn) JANTZEN of Walkerton and Ernie (Sherry) JANTZEN of Owen Sound. Also survived by sisters-in-law Vera JANTZEN of Cargill, Kathy COUSINE and Linda BEERWORT both of Red Deer, Alberta, brother-in-law Paul McTAGGART of Keady, Greg (Joy) WALDO of Keswick, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by sister Marilyn McTAGGART, brother George JANTZEN, brothers-in-law Bob LEMATRIE and Doug ROBERTSON. Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday. January 09, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. Rev. Richard LIESEMER officiating. Spring Interment in Union Cemetery, Ayton.
