After a courageous battle with cancer, at his home, Wednesday, May 7, 2008, Stanley James "Jim" GENNO, of R.R.#2, Crediton, age 66. Beloved husband of Lucille "Lu" (CAYER) GENNO. Loved father of Anita and Steve DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS of Glen Morris, Kelly GENNO and fiancee Natalie BARISIC of Oshawa and Carrie GENNO of London. Loving grandfather of Lindsay DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS and fiance Kevin KERKHOF, Penny and Andrew COYLE, Jaa-Dee MOERMAN, Tasha MOERMAN and Ronnie GENNO. Great-grandfather of Savannah COYLE. Dear brother and brother-in-law of John and Martha GENNO of Hastings and Frank MacLENNAN. Remembered by Lucille's family Stella CORMIER and daughter Lisa of Mississauga, Sylvia and Sam PORTELLI of Thornhill, Lillian and Edward STEEL of Oshawa and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sister Susan MacLENNAN, parents Robert and Lois (GADSDEN) GENNO and brother-in-law Albert CAYER. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman and Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. Mr. Ken KREUTNER of Kitchener officiating. At University Hospital, on Saturday, April 26, 2008, Celeste Margaret "Susie" (McPHARLIN) DUNCAN of London, formerly of Windsor, in her 93rd year. Much loved wife of MacDonald W. "Mac" DUNCAN. Dear mother of John M. DUNCAN and his wife Mary Lou of Windsor. Loving grandmother of Kathleen COYLES (Peter) of Windsor and Brian DUNCAN (Cheryl) of Belle River. Great-grandmother of Ashley, Emily, Kevin and Rachel. Predeceased by her son Timothy "Tim" DUNCAN (1989,) her sister Helen RIDLEY and her daughter-in-law Lauren DUNCAN (2000.) Visitors will be received on Monday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. George's Church (1164 Commissioners Rd. MEIKLE, Helen Patricia (née MULCAIR)
It is with great sadness that the children and sisters of Pat MEIKLE announce her death, on March 10th, 2008 in Toronto after a year-long illness. Pat was born in Montreal on February 14th, 1924 and grew up in Westmount, Québec. She graduated from Saint Paul's Academy in 1941, and from the Mother House Secretarial College in 1942. Following graduation, she took a position as legal secretary at the Montreal firm of Montgomery McMichael (now Ogilvy Renault), where she worked until her marriage to the late James Edward MEIKLE on September 18th, 1952. Pat pursued her chosen career as wife, mother and grandmother, with kindness, common sense, humour and great deal of devotion, for 56 years. She was much loved, and will be greatly missed, by her sisters Barbara MULCAIR and Sister Anne-Marie MULCAIR, CND; her children Victoria, Susan and Ross COYLES, Jamie, Heather and Adrian JOHNSON, Thomas and Melanie ROCKLIFF, Gregory and Rachel JEWELL; and her grandchildren Jamie, Gillian, Kieran, Devon, Natasha, Dunham and Jackson; and by her Friends. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 2: 00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Avenue). Passed peacefully Thursday June 19, 2008 at Meadowpark Nursing Home in her 94th year. Wife of the late Charles W. SAMS. Dear mother of Carol CHARLTON (Allan) of Chatham and Gord SAMS (Wendy) of London. Grandmother and Great-grandmother of Dyana CHARLTON (Paul COYNE) and her sons Trevor and Brendan, Jason CHARLTON (Anita,) Stephanie SAMS (Jeff FURLER) and their daughters Jessica and Mackenzie and Jeff SAMS. In Waterloo on January 7, 2008, Arcangela died with family at her side at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Domenico GIANNANDREA (1992.) Dear mother of Peter and his wife Christine, Vince and his fiancée Kim MILTON, Gino and his wife Carmelina, and Mary and her husband Michael COYNE. Loving grandmother of Heather, Stephanie, Karen, Amy (Shawn KENNEDY), Jessica, David and Michael. Also survived by her dear sister Emilia CICCHINI of Casalvieri, Italy.
