GIVEN, Francis " Frank" Herbert
Passed away peacefully at Lee Manor in Owen Sound on Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Francis (Frank) Herbert GIVEN, of Mar, beloved husband of the late Leota GIVEN (née CAUDLE.) Loving father of Ann SQUIRE and her husband Ted, of London, Robert, of London, Gordon and his wife Janet of Sackville, Nova Scotia, and Dale, of Victoria, British Columbia. Much loved grandpa of Michelle, Leah, Michael, Mark, Lisa, Travis and Meaghan, and great-grandpa of Kailey, Curtis, Madison, Seth, Jake, Julia, Luke, Katelynne and Asa. Predeceased by a grand_son Matthew, by seven brothers George, James, Jack, Bill, Ted, Charlie, Art, and by four sisters Lizzie, Agnes, Emma and Margaret. A memorial service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family (and may be made by calling Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home 519-376-2326).

BARTLEY, Shirley (née CAUDLE)
Of Lion's head passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Ken BARTLEY (1996.) Cherished sister of Helen (Bob) DUKE, Eileen TACKABERRY and Ruth TACKABERRY, all of Lion's Head, Fern HOGAN of Cambridge and Norma Jean (Ron) PINEAU of Waterloo. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Lenora CAUDLE of Lion's Head, brother-in-law Murray HELLYER of Lion's head as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law on her husband Ken's side. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Thelma (WHENHAM) and George CAUDLE, brothers Carmen and Fred and sisters Marguerite HELLYER and Betty Lou CAUDLE. Visitation will be held at the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's head on Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 2: 00 to 4: 00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at the Chapel on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m. Pastor Billy STRACHAN officiating. Spring interment Eastnor Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton. CAUDLE, Thelma Mae (née McLAY)
Of Wiarton peacefully at Gateway Haven on Friday, April 18th, 2008. The former Thelma Mae McLAY in her 74th year. Loving and devoted wife of Ken. Cherished mother of Jo Anne and her husband Larry McCARTNEY, of Wiarton; and step-mother of Gary CAUDLE and his wife Viviane, of Port Elgin. Caring grandmother of Brandi-Lynne ROUSE, Jared ROUSE, Amber (Jeffrey GEERDINK), Marshall McCARTNEY, Nicola CAUDLE, and Olivier CAUDLE; and great-grandmother of Grace GEERDINK. Beloved sister of Margaret (Ben HATT,) of Clavering and her daughter-in-law Beth ROUSE, of Wiarton. Sadly missed by her special niece and nephew Alannah and Travis HATT. Predeceased by her parents Verna Mae and John Allan K. McLAY; her brother Marshall McLAY (1959;) and her dear son John ROUSE (1999.) Thelma will be forever remembered for her amazing gift for music, talent in bowling and enduring devotion to her family. Cremation has taken place. Family invite Friends to call at the Thomas C. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Wednesday, June 25th, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 80th year, Beloved wife of the late Pieter VERMEER and dearly loved mother of Gary and his wife Moira VERMEER of Saint Thomas and Debbie and her husband Mike CAUGHELL of Calgary. Much loved grandmother of Julie and her husband Chris SURMACZ, Peter VERMEER, Ben and his wife Christine VERMEER, Sonya VERMEER and Nicholas and Richard CAUGHELL. Sister of Pete and his wife Ann VOSKAMP of Saint Thomas. Also survived by a number of family in Holland. Susan owned and operated Vermeer Flowers with her husband Pieter. She was born in Holland on January 3rd, 1929 and came to Canada in 1951. Susan was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

After 22 years, finally has peace, after a brain aneurysm, passed away at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, Roy Thomas ADAM/ADAMS, age 71 of Chatham, beloved husband of 47 years of Betty (GRANT) ADAM/ADAMS. Born in London on March 06, 1937 he was the son of the late Vera (CHANCE) and Thomas ADAM/ADAMS. He will be sadly missed by: his children, Carol HEPP and husband Chris of London, Karen CAUGHEY and husband Bob of Alliston, Linda ENDICOTT and husband Brian of North Carolina and Debbie GALE and her husband Brendan of London, grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Michelle, Matthew, Brittney, Kayla, Michael and Madison as well as many brothers, sisters and family. Taken from the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham to be cremated. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Ursula's Church on Friday, May 16th 2008 at 10: 30 a.m. with Fr. ROSS, Reba Marguerite (née SIMMONS)
At Stratford General Hospital on February 15, 2008, Reba Marguerite ROSS (née SIMMONS) in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late William Jeffrey ROSS (1985.) Dear mother of Donald and Anne ROSS of Wyoming, Ontario and Peter and Janice ROSS of London. Loving grandmother of Ian, Michael (Corrine) and David; Craig (Amanda) and Lynsey. Proud great-grandmother of Lucas and Sylvia. Reba was born on July 27, 1915 to Wesley and Susan SIMMONS of Exeter, Ontario. She was predeceased by brothers Clarence, Melville, Fred, Eldrid and sisters Annie and Cocy. She is survived by sister-in-law Pauline SIMMONS of Exeter and many nieces and nephews. Reba was an R.N., graduating from Stratford General Hospital in 1938, and nursed in Stratford for many years. She was also an active volunteer. A private family funeral service has taken place with interment in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. The family wishes to thank Doctor CAULFIELD and the staff of Woodland Towers for their many kindnesses. Passed away in his 86th year, veteran and bomber pilot in World War 2, Bomber Command Squadron 420. He leaves his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Maxine CALLAHAN (née MORLEY) and eight children, Michael (Paula,) William (Margaret,) Helen CAULFIELD (Ron,) Margaret MITCHELL (John,) Megan SORENSEN (Hugo,) Kelly CALLAHAN, Stephanie CEELEN (Brian) and Matthew (Kate.) Dear Grampa to seventeen grandchildren. He was the last survivor of his eight siblings, Paul WEBER, Thomas CALLAHAN, Mary CALLAHAN, Kathleen POUPORE, John CALLAHAN, Doctor William CALLAHAN, Doctor George CALLAHAN and Florence CALLAHAN. Funeral mass to be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10: 00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 670 Sheppard Avenue East, Willowdale, Ontario.
