Age 87, of Mississauga, passed away peacefully at Credit Valley
Hospital on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Born December 25, 1920,
in Proton Station, Ontario to the late Hugh and Margaret Elizabeth
(STEWARD/STEWART/STUART)
COPELAND. A retired dairy farmer, Alex was a loving
and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. Alex loved life,
travel, wintering in the south, playing cards, hockey (playing
and watching) and spending time with Friends and family. Alex
was active in the community, having served as an elder for the
former Meadowvale United Church and as a trustee for the Toronto
Township School Board. Alex served in the Royal Canadian Air
Force during World War 2. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters,

London, a Veteran of the Canadian Air Force and longtime employee
of Westinghouse-Lamp Division. A Memorial Service will be held
at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street (between Waterloo and
Colborne St.), on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 2: 00 p.m. (Visitation
from 1-2 p.m.). Interment of ashes will take place at a later
date in the family plot in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations
to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice would
