Wednesday, May 7, 2008. She was born in East Zorra Township,
Oxford County on June 23, 1929 a daughter of the late Allan and
Mabel (BIRCH)
BALE.
Dorothy was a piano teacher in Tavistock
for more than sixty years; was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,
Sebastopol-Tavistock where she was a member of the Evangelical
Lutheran Women. She also played the pump organ for services at
the Historical Trinity Anglican Church in East Zorra. She had
good memories of the enjoyment she had during the years she was
farming with her husband Lloyd. She married Lloyd Henry
WILKER
at Trinity Anglican Church, East Zorra on August 25, 1951. He
died on May 11, 1985. Dorothy is the loved mother of Rosanne

Edna (NeeNee) emigrated with her family in 1914 to Canada. Growing
up in Niagara, Ontario, she took an active role in raising her
younger siblings, later becoming a nanny and ultimately helping
to raise her nephew, niece and, more recently, her great-niece.
A proud Canadian who loved the snow in winter as much as she
loved her flower garden in the summer, she lived on both the
east and west coasts of Canada, where she became an ardent Girl
Guide and Ranger. She was involved in Guides in Lorne Park and
will be missed by her friend and fellow Guide, Kaye Hobbs. A funeral
service will be held 1: 00 p.m. Wednesday February 13, 2008, Saint Paul's
Anglican Church Lorne Park, 1190 Lorne Park Road, Mississauga,

he moved to Canada in 1956, settling in Port Perry, Ontario,
to practice general medicine. He later moved to Whitby, Ontario,
where he worked at the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital, specializing
in psychogeriatrics. A memorial service is planned for October,
the details of which will appear in this paper closer to the
date.

Tim has arisen and his irrepressible spirit is winging its way
back to Ireland, his birthplace. Tim had a long, productive life
and a mercifully short illness. He died peacefully on Wednesday,
February 06, 2008, in his 87th year. Tim, the cherished husband
of Rita for 64 years. Adored father of Victoria and her spouse
Fred BIRKET.
Honorary
Grandfather of Paul and Susan. Always fascinated
by Sean, Nathan, Liam and Adam. Predeceased by his brothers,
he is survived by his sisters, Patricia, Margaret, Jane and Theresa.
Loved by many nieces and nephews. Tim was a veteran of World
War Two serving with the Royal Air Force between 1937 and 1947.
He is the last surviving Boy Apprentice Photographer. A man of
words, literature and poetry. He studied the stars, science,
history, and politics. He developed beautiful gardens and was
a creative cook. In his later years he adopted Tai Chi and played
many games of Scrabble! Many, many thanks to the medical and
nursing staff at P.R.H.C. and Palliative Care. Cremation has

Edna (NeeNee) emigrated with her family in 1914 to Canada. Growing
up in Niagara, Ontario, she took an active role in raising her
younger siblings, later becoming a nanny and ultimately helping
to raise her nephew, niece and, more recently, her great-niece.
A proud Canadian who loved the snow in winter as much as she
loved her flower garden in the summer, she lived on both the
east and west coasts of Canada, where she became an ardent Girl
Guide and Ranger. She was involved in Guides in Lorne Park and
will be missed by her friend and fellow Guide, Kaye Hobbs. A funeral
service will be held 1: 00 p.m. Wednesday February 13, 2008, Saint Paul's
Anglican Church Lorne Park, 1190 Lorne Park Road, Mississauga,
Ontario. Visitation Tuesday February 12, 2008 at Skinner and
Middlebrook Funeral Home, Port Credit, from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. In

Club. Laird happily retired from Jennings Insurance to pursue
fly fishing, duck hunting and skeet shooting. He will be sadly

and their families. After a valiant struggle with lung cancer,
John died peacefully at home on March 12th, 2008 surrounded by
his family. An electrical engineering graduate of Queen's University,
John retired from Hydro One after 33 years of dedicated service.
He worked in a variety of roles related to power system operation
and telecommunications. John lived life with an enthusiastic
energy and an endless scientific curiosity about everything.
With an avid interest in nature, art, medicine, philosophy, religion,
politics, sports, culinary arts and design, John lived life to
the fullest from back country snowboarding in the Rockies to
exploring the complexities of existence and the mysteries of
life. John had a great capacity for acceptance of all people
and gave generously of himself to others. He had a strong sense
of community responsibility and volunteered in many activities
including coaching minor hockey and soccer. John's interest in
science extended to his eager participation in clinical trials
and studies at Princess Margaret Hospital where he was diagnosed
and treated. John died as he lived with a great sense of hope
and clarity of vision. Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral

Ontario. Each of her grandchildren had a close and special relationship
with Grandma and all learned at an early age about the "magic
of Huttonville" a place where there was no crying, no bad dreams
and where children could fly if they could run fast enough across
the back garden. Huttonville is a little less magical today.
