HARDY,
David
Charles
(October 13, 1937-April 23, 2008)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David
Charles HARDY on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the age of 70.
David is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 41 years and
his three daughters, Sarah, Susan and Stephanie. He will be incredibly
missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Ed
BAGLEY,
their children Ted, Joanna and David, and their families. David
was a warm and loving person who made Friends of everyone he
met. His witty sense of humour and infectious laugh would light
up a room, especially when filled with his large circle of Friends
and family. David loved to entertain, socialize, and was truly
the life of the party. He was cherished and respected by all
who knew him. An avid sports fan, David loved to play tennis
and golf. One could often find him at his second home, the Oakville
Club, and recently the Beverly Golf Club. He was also known to
canoe the 16-mile Creek, cycle through Oakville and cheer on
his daughter's soccer games. His love for the Town of Oakville
was also expressed through his dedication to the Oakville Rotary
Club and
CEO. David retired from a successful corporate career
to fulfill his dream of being his own boss. David and Margaret
opened a local sign shop called About Signs in 1990. A special
thanks to the caring Intensive Care Unit health professionals
at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital as well as Doctor
MUKHERJEE
and his team at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Friends may join
us at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario
(905-844-3221) on Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and
6-8 p.m. In memory of David, donations may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to: david.hardy@wardfh.com
